Imagine that day our soldiers have 50 cal mounted on bullet proof vehicle Chance of their survival would be 70-80 percent someone said it's inaccurate weapon but the firepower 50 cal have is immense Even trained person looking for cover if some naive shooting with 50 cal

pretty much the same terrain , some areas also have heavy vegetation like poonch

The safed Koh mountain ranges where Tora Bora cave complex was is pretty similar to kargil in terrain , just has a bit more vegetation .

Kunar province's geography is similiar to areas in pir panjal hinterlands rajouri - sangaldan - ramban - banihal/qazigund - doda - udhampur stretch.
