Garuds needs to figure out what they are first before they can hope to match anywhere near MARCOs. It seems post Pathankot they’ve embraced (even more) being the SWAT of the IAF. If they realised they wanted to be the premier CSAR unit of India things could change but I struggle to see massive capability enhancements without a clear doctrine

Nope. My guess would be that UCP for VBSS ops, Multicam and MARPAT for jungle ops and Black Multicam for urban ops.

I believe if marcos get this setup standardized throughout then garud and paras will follow their footsteps.

I don't see any NATO unit using UCP for VBSS. MARCOS should standardize Multicam for VBSS and jungle ops while using Black Multicam for anything urban instead of having 4-5 different camos in their inventory

Its true that no NATO units use UCP but we saw how good UCP works in that environment in RIMPAC.
