I’ll ask him to confirm but political interference has only increased under maulana modi. Back then ghataks and paras were crossing LoC yearly

Yeah that's non sense. If that were the case, the Navy wouldn't have been able to modernize the way they have. Not only MARCOS, but Indian Navy has rapidly modernized in all spheres of maritime warfare.

I meant to say 3 star army genrols, not the 3 genrols of army navy and AF.

Upper army generals are basically yes men and put zero efforts into procurements so they can be blamed as well

He’s basically saying what everyone here says about army command generals (responsible for procurements) being incompetent asf. And then 2 and 3 star genrols being yes men for the COAS and upper brass

Yeah that's the actual truth. And btw, the politicians don't and quite honestly can't meddle with specific items of purchase. If the Army wants to modernize Para SF they easily can in phases starting with proper PPE, night vision and then move on to better primary weapons. The procurements won't even be of that large an amount which would need to be approved by a procurement committee. The desire to modernize lacks in the army command.
These generals use the politicians as scapegoats. Cause politician toh ayega jayega.
