Good boy !

Use of MWD/K9s has gone up a lot across India in the last decade. I wonder if this is because the Belgian Malonois used to be imported at huge cost but now there’s multiple breeding programs for this breed in india (IA, ITBP, CRPF, NSG(?)) and they are definitely taking the training part more seriously than failed attempts before (think I’ve mentioned the reason why GSDs were withdrawn from CT duties in the valley previously)

good to see across the board

So, had a conversation with a guy from a maritime SOF unit (non-Indian) and he basically told me that sometimes they would wear those ol, granny-esque cheap shoes without socks when doing beach landings and ditch them because they didn't want their boots or socks getting wet.

This may be an explanation for why MARCOS were doing that beach landing demo with those atrocious shoes a few weeks back.
U mean converse shoes? SEALs use converse shoes for such ops

Yes but will you ever combat gulati into a room with terrorists inside? Is it legit tactic or is it done for show..if its the latter i have little hope for our armed forces.
Done for show only. The target audience doesn't lurk on internet that much so their general idea of a commando is someone agile ninja esque person. Later they join the army and then SF where there is not much need of this kartab bazi.
Gulatis and jumps are however good for increasing agility.

K9s in the SF are a class apart, some are even trained for tandem jumps with combat freefallers.

I think there was a pic of a 4 Para with a K9 tandem jump but I doubt they have the ability to do HAHO/HALO. That’s something very few units in the world are only just now trying out. It requires specialist equipment for the dogs (O2 masks) and training

Seriously, what a stupid video man. Just shows the professionalism of Garuds and does them no favour.

Reminds me of the Abraham Lincoln quote - "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt".

What a disappointment
I mean the exact feeling to my mind literally exactly
Making video and showing bogus things made me sure that they until haven't understood what wrong are they doing
Before I thought few know about it but system is orthodox but now all doubts clear they until now haven't discovered where they are wrong 🤔

-Bragging about inducting the AK103
-High knees parade jumps to the range like they are in the circus
-really uncoordinated and low energy room clearance drills

Bonus for the officer that fragged about 5 people with his 360 spin holding the AK

at least they have some sense to protect OPSEC (no faces shown and the officer that spoke to the cameras had removed his name badge), that’s about the only positive shown in this video. It was less dynamic than what even a crappy state SWAT unit would show
