Is there any info available on how widely deployed the MPX is within the SAG teams in NSG?
MPX is being issued to all, SAG, SRG & SCG in limited numbers so as of now. NSG team deployed in J&K has also received SIG MPX. Exact number of guns ordered is still unknown.

Standard equipment of any common unit, I don’t know much.
I'll just list some components that would constitute the average 'combatant standard' - most Tier-2/1 SOF would utilize these or some equivalent of these.

Crye G3 combat pants & shirt with conformal knee & elbow pad support
Crye AVS or equivalent chest rig system, these have almost fully replaced the old(er) RLCS used by Rangers
OpsCore FAST/TeamWendy EXFIL or equivalent ballistic high-cut helmet
3M Peltor COMTAC-II/III headset or equivalent hooked to AN/PRC-series software-defined radios
Oakley or Mechanix tactical gloves
Whatever good rucking/trekking shoes the individual operator is comfortable with
AN/PVS-31 or PVS-15/14 night vision systems (Tier-1s ofcourse have access to GPNVG-18 etc)

Primary weapon systems are usually some variant of an AR-15 for assaulters, usually SOPMOD Block-II M4s for Rangers/tier-2s and HK416s for Tier-1s and some variant of AR-10 for squad marksmen, like an M110.

Handguns are quite a wide variety, everything from regular-issue M9s to specialist stuff like SIG P226, HK45 or MEUSOC 1911s are used by various units.

Support weapons are usually Mk.46 (SOCOM version of M249 SAW) or Mk.48 (SOCOM version of 7.62 Minimi).

Peripheral kit are too numerous to list off the back of my head...everything from counterweights, battery packs, light systems, strobes, chemlights, paracords, carabiners, Garmin GPS kit, push-to-talk switches, etc. etc.

1) maybe they got a development loan from Germany and that was part of the deal
2) kickbacks?
3) perfectly good parade ground rifle

In the first ever firefight in Afghanistan the gun failed after 2 mags of sustained fire. Later years showed that it was not an aberration but the norm
Interesting ! Always thought why the Germans wanted to replace the 'sturdy' G36.

So is NSG now 'allowed' to do CT ops in kashmir ? Any change in the status ?

There is no standard, SEALs have different kit to MARSOC who have different kit to SF etc etc...
Considering we bought SOCOM kits so we might end up with good gucci equipment for our Special Forces but theres no mention for Comtacs Hope that MoD gets them coz our Special Forces are a joke.
