Probably the only unit in India that uses those KeyMod retainer plates with the RTI Mounting system (for attaching holsters) on their chest rigs, though in most instances they usually sport a thigh holster.

Can officers from state police force's join SPG?

Not sure about state police but I know an IPS who went on to join the personal security detail (the ones in suits/safaris, not the Counter-Assault Team).

Shatrujeet did post an old pic of SG member with CAR 15. AUGs are just for training afaik....

Jvpc is the name. Different calibers. Ours have bigger round 5.56x30mm vs 9x19 mm of Uzi.So naturally it has some punch.But comparatively heavier.
Good or bad only time will tell as it isbyet to see widespread use among army or special forces unlike Uzi.
