Is it just me or drum magazine with Bullpup seems kinda odd since you have to reach for the trigger croosing over the magazine.

Vs

Second one seems way more comfortable.
Well it is untraditional,of course, but still workable if you can adjust to it,

As you can clearly see it here, that thick drum is indeed coming between way and operator kinda had to wrap his hand around that drum to grip this Tavor,so your point is valid and that's the one reason why i did not advocate drums for Tavor in my previous posts, specially for a special operations unit like Garud

Oh,and just in case you find that weird, have a look at this, introducing Beta-C 100 round drum (or coupled drums) on Tavor !

Drum magazines ( essential box mags) on MMGs / LMGs is fine.

Drum magazines on a Bullpup (assuming LMG) is a question mark as your forarm will be banging against it.

Drum magazines on a a Bullpup assault rifle is weird for a number of reasons. If the soldier is going to go through such a high rate of fire his Barrell will fail . LMGs have heavier barrells.

For an assaulter who needs to be accurate the box mags throws off the weight of the rifle not to mention manoverability
That would be drum mags I believe.

The good ol chicken winging.

Seen that only in Indian and Israeli forces in recent times and 90s SWAT in history.

Check this out-

Our forces could use this.
I can actually improvise and bring this to large scale production without copyright problems if they would want that. :)
Also, slightly off topic but check out this guy's shooting skills-

Keep in mind that he's a civvy, never was nor is LEO or military.
I get so sad when I realize India has to keep the strict gun laws while watching this. :crying:

For Civilian Recreational shooter sure but not for Military/SOF. Military has to work on the concept of highest efficiency not "workable"

Well ANY (military or Civilian) shooters who spend hours everyweek can develop such accuracy and speed. Replicating them under combat stress is a different matter.

Ex Military Turned Civlian consultant/Instructors however tend to blend real world lessons into their drills and continue innovating and improving.

One such gent is InstructorZero. While intially he suffered alot of ridicule for his only marketing and was called a fraud today he has spent time with Italian SOF, Brazilian BOPE, GIGN refining their training.

NOBODY can learn in a vacume. and Ego has no place in the learning process.

TBH, I've seen stuff from Zero which are irksome, to say the least. (Stuff like shooting at a target behind you while looking in a mirror) but I do get your point. I'm more into the fact that the private arms and armor industry is flourishing and thus, encouraged in US while India issues license (which, again, are almost impossible to get) for anything with a trigger and the ability to make a bang sound.

C’mon sirji, military personnel can’t be compared to civilians.

If you dig deep it boils down to their domestic gun industry sponsoring these videos, to maintain their annual sales. In effect this is more about American entrepreneurship than competing at the level of military.

My point is that forget about domestic industry. SOF doesnt have the luxury for domestic capability to catchup to its needs (true anywhere in the world). Why cant our planners go out into the world and higher gunsmiths, shooting experts etc etc znd give them contracts to come help train and evolve).

PS i have seen videos of NSG and Cobra personal doing the same dog and pony show you just described ;)

Not comparing but just thought I'd put out a disclaimer, in case someone gets confused. Not saying this guy can embed in 4th Para and cross the border and come back alive, just letting it be known he ain't nuthin but a civvy. :p

NSG Special Action Group (SAG) Commandos

FN SCAR H (7.62×51mm) with CompM4 Sight

H&K Mp5-A5 (9×19mm) + B&T Tri Rail Handguard with Zeiss Sight

Balidan badge below NSG badge means he is an IndianArmy PARA SF operator on deputation in National Security Guards
@Unknowncommando 2 bro can you confirm that the SCAR is being issued to frontline SAG teams and not just being used for familiarisation and held in armouries?

Previously the FNFAL was issued to SRG and SAG with Perimeter Security and Overwatch mission profiles.

And SAG operators carried the FN FAL for outdoors work (see hunt for veerapan, COIN in kashmir)

I assume the Scar H will follow similar mission usage.
