Why D.I.A have no insignia ??
.............
Like the Special Group the DIA is a cabinet secretariate - hence no uniform insignia . They are a nodal agency for Military Intelligence coordination - set up post kargil.

DIA has control of Indian Army's prized technical intelligence assets – the Directorate of Signals Intelligence and the Defence Image Processing and Analysis Centre (DIPAC). The DIA also controls the Defence Information Warfare Agency (DIWA) which handles all elements of the information warfare repertoire, including psychological operations, cyber-war, electronic intercepts and the monitoring of sound waves.

out of curiosity...
what are the alternatives you are thinking of?
Pretty much ANYTHING is better than this rubbish, but for example the MKU Instavest:

For some reason, even to this day this kind of vest is space-age tech to the Indian Army.

This is the best that DRDO can come up with (not arguing about protection, that is top-notch but usability and functionality):

When the rest of the world moved onto MOLLE and modularity 25+ years ago, India was sleeping.

This is just getting ridiculous.:frusty:
Pakis are increasingly using snipers against our boys ever since surgical strikes and the hostilities that followed.
We desperately need new counter sniper tactics, a specialized sniper force, and something akin to the USMC Scout Sniper course.
I know that DRDO has developed something akin to the Boomerang counter-sniper system, this should be deployed on vehciles providing overwatch for army and police patrols in the state.

And the Army/Centre should also install static sensors across the most violent areas- these are found in crime-ridden inner cities in the US where gang violence is out of control. Within minuets police can arrive to any shooting without even needing to get a 911 call.

Hmm interesting - I think this is the result of joint exercises with US troops in Yudh Abhyas and thus exposure to the equipment they use and how helpful it actually is in combat. The sad fact is that we have more experience than them - but no focus on R&D within the army in coordination with industry existed until recently. Sighj

Ain't they Tibetan Mastiff? The nose looks similar to it. Also they r locally found in Lahaul,Spiti and Dharamshala. Just a guess.
No, she is not a Tibetan mastiff.
She's a bakharwal

I know a Major who had adopted one bakharwal puppy while he was posted in Drass. The puppy has now grown up into a yound handsome stud.

Doesn't it affect the zeroing of the optic as the older dust cover of an AK moves more vigorously than a VZ or Galil ?That's one of the very reasons why most of the And have optics on hand guards. But newer ones like that by Fab and zahal had improved receivers on that matter for much extend.
