Bro - I think first we need to get the basics right. First lets get helmets that are actually proper sizes for the men. Then lets get Proper Cloth Camo that does not look like some roadside hack job.

After that lets talk about Picatinny Rails for the Helmets

PS. MKU Picatinny rails (like on NSG) are Modular and can be put on any basic PASGAT style.

Should the Army have taken Rahul Gandhi along while carrying out surgical strikes, asks Manohar Parrikar
Manohar Parrikar was the Defence Minister when the Army conducted the Surgical Strike on terror camps beyond the LoC.


Hitting out at Opposition for raising doubts over the surgical strikes by the Indian Army at Pakistani posts in 2016, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday asked whether the security forces should have taken Rahul Gandhi along while executing the operation.

“What do the opposition parties claim? That they (surgical strikes) were not carried out. Look at the negativity. Should I have taken you (Opposition) along? Should I have told the army that take Rahul Gandhi along and carry out the surgical strikes? ” said Parrikar who was the then Defence Minister, when the Army carried out the strikes.

Lauding the Army operation, Parrikar said, “The most important thing about surgical strikes is the secrecy. Only PM, me, Army chief and Director General of Military Operation knew. Other than the four of us, those who knew were core commander, Army commander in Srinagar and those who executed it.

Discovery looks for citizen heroes with new military-based talent hunt show
‘India’s Citizen Squad’ is about the search for those citizens who want to change India for the better. It will premiere on Discovery Channel, Discovery World HD and on Veer by Discovery, a dedicated military channel available on YouTube, in



Discovery Channel has announced it would launch a military-based reality show titled ‘India’s Citizen Squad’ in November 2018. The show will start the search for citizen heroes who want to change India for the better. Discovery channel has brought on board former military specialists who will shortlist and train 10 citizen heroes, aka change agents of the society. The shortlisted citizen heroes will feature in an atypical military-based show.

The show will premiere on Discovery Channel, Discovery World HD and on Veer by Discovery, a dedicated military channel available on YouTube.

Guided by former military specialists, India’s Citizen Squad, comprising 10 ordinary citizens, will undergo ultimate endurance boot camp – a series of intense physical and mental challenges pushing the limits of their body and mind. This is not a typical elimination-driven reality show; it is a test against self to see if the mind has the will and strength to push the body to complete the challenges. The chosen India’s Citizen Squad will have to accomplish a new daredevil mission in each episode of the show.

“There are citizens who have the courage and the strength to take a stand for what is right. Those who don’t, want to be another dim face in a silent crowd. We are looking for such heroes. The aim is to train them and make them stronger physically, mentally so that they become the change agents of the society. We need to be the change, to make the change,” said, Zulfia Waris, Vice-President, Premium and Digital Networks, Discovery Communications India. “This is a golden opportunity for millions of Indians who aspire to emulate military values in everyday life and change India for the better. I am confident that we will get a positive response from across the country.”

Major Vivek Jacob (retired), Para (Special Forces), Indian Army, who will play a key role in training India’s Citizen Squad, said, “Special Forces is about focus, grit, will, intelligence, balance, strength, endurance and a whole lot of heart. The ability to bring all of that together and focus it on one point – your dream. To choose, focus, walk and achieve what most people don’t even dare to dream about. We are going to test you – physically, emotionally and mentally to see if you’ve got what it takes to get through a week of what we do over a lifetime.”

I was talking about New EXFIL Ballistic Helmets particularly and not these ones used by SF.

I heard that the second one is actually airsoft gear. Which is very common in NE states. Same helmets were seen with Mizo Police Commandos. But later found out be airsoft gear. And this is not the M4 variant PARA SF is using. They are using SOMPOD Block I variant of M4A1.

#SAR #OperationMadad The Government of Kerala sought #IndianNavy’s assistance for carrying out Search and Rescue operations in flooded low lying areas of Ernakulam and Idukki districts due to opening of Cheruthoni dam shutters and Wayanad district following heavy rains. The Southern Naval Command dispatched four diving teams with dinghies to Mananthavady and Kalpatta in Wayanad District on 09 August 2018 to render assistance to the local populace. In addition, one Sea King helicopter was also dispatched to Wayanad for evacuating any stranded people. The team is carrying three inflatable boats, rescue equipment and medical supply to provide first aid and is in constant touch with the District Collector.
