6 - 8 "civilian" dead and mortally wounded too, they tried to disrupt the operation to help the terrorists escape the cordon.
The forces should rap them in pig skin and burn them alive live on air

Very sad to know loss of two precious lives Om Shanthi

Good to know that commanding officer or overseer of the encounter(whatever be the military term for that) have started to show balls, 6-8 terrorists accomplices shot dead, very good indeed.

Today they were treated with brute force not as a civilian that's why all 4 terrorist failed to escape.
They should be treated with brute force only.

I believe Anything and i mean Anything that needs to be done to save the integrity of the nation should be done.

Fck human rights and JNU biaches!(kill them too)

If China,Pakistan,Russia and USA can do it so can we.

It's not clear but i think, guy on the 2nd left got a digi cam.
That's a 30 ~ year old Camo at previous page. There is no standardized camo for Special Forces (Para) deployed in CT areas.

And kindly blur the faces of SF. It is not only bad for for opsec but also for the service record of the operators.

Face

Unit's deployed should never be disclose.

According to the new guidelines in the aftermath of Burhan encounter local terrorists should not be killed unless given every opportunity to surrender and forces are require to show restraint.

This is from CM Mufti and conveyed to the security forces. CM is the nominal head of all anti terrorists apparatus in Kashmir including the Army.

Few day back a terrorist was capture alive after 5 hours negotiations with his father.

Although I personally think SFs should have a choice on their loadout, It'd be good to see an uniformed
camo.(at least for the terrain)

A alive local jehadi can be used for intel. In 90's IIRC, Ikhwan comprised of ex tango's and proved often more lethal to paki terrorists.

There were 7 terrorists, 3 escaped in the jungle and 4 got killed by the army.
Two Jawans died while they were searching the house with a suspicious roof top, terror scums opened fire on them when they got close.
Operation took place at 4:30 am.

i have a few questions on the training of special forces around the world:

most (if not all) employ the buddy system, and these buddy pairs are extremely well versed with each others' idiosyncrasies to the point of forming a perfect complement in the battlefield. if one were to go by the military parlance, they are joined at the hip like brothers.

what happens if and when one of them is killed? does the other soldier go without a buddy from there on? or is he assigned a new buddy? if so, from where? also, wouldn't such an arrangement not be very successful as the two now have to undergo the acquaintance from scratch? also, what if an odd number of recruits qualify to become commandos? does that mean one guy is left without a buddy till the next batch arrives, and so on? wouldnt he miss out on the training till then?
The other soldier joins the other pair but will still have to get the body of the operator killed.
In the Army everyone is aquainted with each other very well so there is no problem of that.

Odd and even number doesnt matter because at the end a team is sent based on the requirements of the operation.

I think you are taking the pair system too seriously.

Lets say if 7 operators go for a room intervention drill and the first 2 are killed..so the no. 3 automatically becomes no.1 and number 4 as no.2.

If they are there as a pair and 1 buddy dies the other one will join the pair most suitable but will get the body back with the help of the pair.

The final authority is always with the team leader or section commander.
