Sir, in the top picture who is PARA SF? both? And also the second pic shows a modular helmet with rails and NVG clip and also that BPJ has a hydration pack. Since when our operators started using those helmets and BPJs and HPs.

Firstly i am not sir.

Secondly both are Para SF.

Thirdly i am not sure if that's army gear or his personal stuff but the location is Para barracks.

As for the gear like FAST helmet and BPJ vest , you can buy it on ebay.

I've seen fast helmets online costing 5k but not sure whether they are bullet proof. And also tactical vests are also available but not sure about BPJs.

And those weapons that you have shown in that thread, do you own some of them or all of them?

Those white special forces shoes are used by pakistan army's regular infantry.........How come we lag so behind in modernization

ATGM are used at LOC, In Kargil they were used also but in limited quantity ..

I doubt it too, never seen such Para Gear but the camo is of Army. The guy is from NE and claim he visited local Para Base.

Lots of Para guys are posted near their home in NE, maybe a relative.

And no way he is Maharashtra Police, he is a NCC cadet for Sure.

Will confirm it again.

As for Sights, Rails etc the Armory contains both modified and unmodified weapons even dummies for Exhibition and training etc.

And those are gifted to them or you can call aided to them by The US. So never blindly judge anything.....

and how do you know they are the same exact ones used by Pakis?
plenty of military grade boots come in tan colors..

Paki modernization is recent, most of their gear is the courtesy of WOT and even leftover Arms.

Honestly I dont care how marcos "LOOK" (despite those Darthvade helmets being funny_ The Iraqi, Afghan and Eastern European SF look Badass and that doesnt mean sqwat. What it does reflect is how little our conventional Military Leaders value SOF as part of overall ORBAT/STRATEGY and Utilization. Either they dont have the will (could be also political) or they dont have the knowledge to utilize them.

MARCOS Like the PARA's and Garud have Up to Date Training compared to the Worlds Tier I. Probably 1/2 Level down equipment but 2 Generations Old Operational Doctrine coming from Above ( Just look at the lack of SOCOM as a direction).

PS. In the 80's and 90's MARCOS was one of the ONLY 3 Naval SF units in the world that could ParaDrop in the Ocean with a FULL COMBAT LOAD.

Exactly, you know in this fancy world of Special Forces if you look badass with some awesome history you work is half done, navy have to present the MARCOS in their most badass avatar i have some friends in marcos and i have seen them in full combat load, they have pretty good gears and guns.

I would like to draw your attention towards the tees some guys wearing during malabar, it can be the answer of the question that marcos was there or not, there is a frogman logo on the tshirts and only marcos have right to wear tshirts with a frogman logo now you can say that they can be navy diver with those tees but in the second pic the guy with navy blue tee have a distinct sign of Diver badge means we had Marcos on those ship during those exercises and i dont think they were their to assist VBSS and Navy divers to play the game.. Hence proved Marcos were there and they were represented vulnerably in front of our strategic partners.

also, If I'm not wrong, the tan boots used by Para SF are Magnum Elite Spider boots..
I own a pair of Magnum boots I take trekking.. and I can say, they're excellent.. they have an ankle support feature which doesn't allow the ankle to ever twist.

Yes the Brown Ts are indeed MARCOS. MARCOS EOD Teams routinely embed themselves with Combat Divers for various operations.

Also, MARCOS will always be there as part of a Naval Task Force. its SOP.
