A Commando who don't know how to hold a gun. All they need sophisticated weapons to win on office table but Lake of professionalism or training will make them insufficient during action.
Well still he has a good trigger discipline and moreover the person in the picture is a deputy superintendent of police attached with JJ they don't have much field work but more of office work.

Mumbai Police's bomb squad gets three new high-tech robots

The Mumbai police has 'bot' its bomb squad some much needed protection, with three high-tech robots that will minimise loss of human lives while handling explosives. The force has finally got the much-awaited Mini Remotely Operated Vehicle (MROV) Rover Mark, costing around Rs 84 lakh.

The addition of these robots is part of the police's modernisation plan following the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai. Made in India, by the Security Defence System (SDS), the robots were added to the force in april and have undergone rigorous tests over the past few months. The droids, weighing 100 kg each, can be used by Mumbai Police's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad in extreme situations, thanks to their advanced features.

During tests, the cops confirmed that the robots can also be used in the monsoon. They can climb mountains, stairs, airplane ladders at an incline of 45 degrees, making them useful at airports, aircraft, railway stations, buses, Metros, buildings and other highly populated areas.

Disposal from safe distance
One of the most important features is the robots' ability to destroy bombs with fire. It is fully remote-controlled, and officers can relay instructions to it from a safe distance of 100 to 200 metres, or even 1 km, if the suspected object is in open ground and there is no obstacle blocking the signal. If the suspected article is found in confined spaces, the officers have the option to simply extend the length of the robot's arm, so the claws can reach into the narrow space and grab or defuse the bomb.

Remote X-ray
One of the special features is the remote X-ray function — the robot can send X-ray images to the remote control system via its Real Time Viewing System (RTVS). Officers can remotely scan suspicious articles and check its contents on their laptop.

The robot also has five high-resolution cameras: two are on top of the 'jaw', one of which can capture images in 360 degrees. In addition, the machine's front, back and underside also have cameras that help BDDS officers to observe suspected articles better. All cameras are equipped with night vision as well.

The robot cannot only be operated through the main control, but can also be controlled by a joystick. Its operation requires only one officer. It functions on rechargeable batteries that run for four hours.

A senior officer from Mumbai Police said, "We have learned a lot from 26/11. These robots can not only minimise loss of lives, but also provide important information on suspicious objects remotely. This is one of the best additions to the force."

Indian police look extremely skinny and unfit. Are they getting enough nutrition? I understand vegetarianism is big but are they getting enough calories and lifting weights/practicing martial arts to maintain law-and-order? They have no muscle. A 12th grader (18 year old) can probably lift more weight and perform better physically WITHOUT training than one of them
60-70% of newly recruited constables are actually 18-19 year old(s).

We have legitimate body builder police 18-19 year olds in the US. This is pathetic. No excuse for how weak they look. What is the cause of this? How can an American (like me) get involved to whip people like them into shape?
We don't have fixed duty hours like our contemporaries around the world, E.g Even a 2hr long sentry duty can get extended to 5hrs and so on. Because of the low number of cops, a single cop has to be on duty for more 12 hours in most of the cases, so you really can't expect a policeman here who is basically doing unpaid overtime job and is living in police barracks which are basically situated the outside of town(s) to look after his fitness. They spend the little time they get in rest, after long duties. Moreover in some of the naxal-hit regions special task forces of the star police itself ends up spending 20+ days in jungles. Much diverse for a police force. In the lay man's terms we don't have resources and time to look after the fitness part unfortunately.

Ever been to the training of police constables? The training regime is too tough and mentally exhausting. You will not get any muscle from the constant physical exercises but will only get leaner.Dont know how things are done in US, but here while doing training cops dont get any time to go to gym or use suppliments.

Above Picture was captured during training. They are well equipped than that like in this one. Their communication gear is better than their counterparts. And yes Delhi Police SWAT Team needs some serious upgrade.
Delhi kahin se capital banane ko deserve nahi karta. We have better cities like Hyd,
Delhi police swat team.
Delhi doesn't deserve to be our Capital. Time to shift the capital from Delhi to cities like Hyd, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Nagpur. Make knew of them future ready and shift the capital in next 10 years.

ID equipment on the belt on the leftmost policeman?

3rd from left - ID silver device?

Dunno why they are dangling water bottles in that way.
