First test flights were a couple years before the fall of CCCP, then it was cancelled. You can tell by the engines --- they are the smokey RD-33. It was a MiG-29M with modifications. The real MiG-29Ks are completely new builds.

looking at the first video i was wondering about the smoky engine. your posted video shows no such thing. means rd-33mk proves that modifications to rd-33 is effective. thanks.
