it isnt bad , but does not suite for IN's doctrine.

Thanks brother, by the way one of my friends in IN told me that INS Vikramadhitya would arrive soon in 2010 or 2011, and ship trails would be conducted in India with GOI's cost, and later will be send to Russia for weaponisation. and return for Induction in 2012, i'm not so sure weather its true or not,
this means the sea trails will go in India with the help of Russian experts.
i taught it was a good Idea.

our IN's doctrine is ruining us,why they are always making us toothless armed force? as we are not going to attack anyone but if some one(super power) attacks us,its not a aggressive status to have cruisers and other lethal weapons system:2guns:

i too love to see such a big Kirov class cruisers in IN, with a displacement of aprox 28000 tons , it can be a flagship itself, if we send it to war with PN, undoubtedly it can single handedly face or destroy the whole navy itself including aircrafts too,
as these are Nuclear cruisers they dont need replenishments for months.
these have all range of weapons for offence and defence from all sides too like air, surface and underwater too,
like Aircraft carriers they dont need escorts too, like one ship equals whole BCG.
like even Agni type missiles can also be deployed on this ships with little modification on missile .

I want to have a big cruiser too in our Navy but I think we need to build up our shipyards and learn to build bigger ships before we get something as big as a crusier in our inventory. We are already building a aircraft carrier and have built and will build more nuke subs so our building experience is getting better. But India is not a Russia or America yet and still needs to update the infastructure before we induct nuclear cruisers and very large ships. I think we have a decent navy if all the procurement plans go as planned.

INS Delhi destroyer was designed by the Indian Navy with detailed and production design phase carried out by Mazagon Dock. INS Delhi was commissioned in 1997. It has a displacement of 6,700t, overall length of 163m and beam of 17m.The ship is fitted with sophisticated anti-ship, anti-aircraft and anti-submarine sensor and weapon systems.
