For a second I thought those pictures where of Gorshkov, The Ski-Jump was similar to the IN Viraat. I think the Sky-Jump of Gorskhov is quite bigger than the Viraat.

Ski jump ramp takeoffs are considered safer than takeoffs over a flat top carrier. Almost all of the world Navies except US Navy uses ski jump ramps, UNS uses STOVL.

Wat u said is correct.
IN is constructing Vikrant Class Carriers.
But construction of Vikrant is in very intial stage.

But the pics were of INS Virat. which is in kochi Shipayard for another mid-Life upgrade which could keep it fit for until 2015.

I hope those interior shots are not what we are getting when it's delivered to India. I hope we have full digital systems when we recieve it.

for me it looks like a cruiser so it will be great if we had modified into cruiser with lethal brahmos,club missiles,lots of barak missiles etc
