I read previous 4-5 pages... don't know why people are giving it👇 a miss while talking of radars on our future ships

It will provide fire-control for the OTOBreda/BHEL 76/62 SRGM, AK-630M six-barrelled guns, and DRDO-developed VL-SR-SAMs.

We are already having Lynx U1 FCR. Also, we are developing X-band AESA radar for VL-SRSAM. It was offered by BEL and Thales but IN did not go for it.

Wait for the ASW-SWC... a few more months & see it yourself... it will also feature on NGC/NGMV & NG-OPV
I think you are taking source from PSG. I don't think he is right on this because it was not present in the models but yeah let us wait and watch.

Also, if you go through ASW-SWC models then you won't find any system which requires FCR. It has 30mm CRN-91 gun and SRCG which don't require FCR.

Where will we build more ships in future? We have GRSE, GSL, MDL and CSL. And in pvt sector - L&T Kattupalli.
There is no scope for expansion of any of these. So we cant scale up even if we have money
CSL is building a huge facility in Kochi that can build vessels close to 300m and 75k tonnes. CSL is also building another facility in Hoogly WB that can build vessels of upto medium size. As India grows in economic heft to churn out ships like PLA, more pvt players will enter. In the immediate to near future, I don't expect any large scale orders that will stretch the current dockyards

I think the CSL facility on Kochi is a dry dock for commercial repairs, not naval shipbuilding. The one in hooghly is supposed to build inland water transport, not ships🥲
And regarding more private players, yes they may come in but where will they build facility. India will NEVER be able to build a greenfield port ever owing to protests and ecological brigades. Even the Vizhinjam port in Kerala is on the verge of being cancelled

Not related to Indian Navy but Indonesian Navy. A rather impressive modification to the Arrowhead -140 design.

MF-STAR
2 x 76mm guns.
48 VL-Mica SRSAM
08 LRSAM (Either Aster-30 or Barak-8)
16 SSM (Probably Brahmos)
1 x 35mm CIWS
2 x 30mm Guns
2 x Triple Torpedo Tubes

More heavily armed than IN destroyers despite having 2000 tones less displacement.
Not really.
MRSAM is much better than vl mica which is repurposed aam for point defence. Also we can add vlsrsam to destroyers easily.
We have chaff/decoy launchers suite.
Second our ASW capability is far better. We have both bow mounted sonar as well as towed array.RBU anti torpedo hardkill particularly useful in shallow waters.
And most of all we have 2 helicopters which allows continuous operation instead of 1.

The main weakness for us is that our design was conceptualized in early 2000s so lacks automation.Hence we have 2- 2.5 times more crew which takes up space. Also our destroyers have more space for fuel and food for longer range operations due to blue water duties.
Our other weakness is the russian engines which are far inferior to the rolls royce ones.

I bet you every cent this ship will shoot clean through 6500 tonnes at standard displacement. There is no way the ship can be built that light and remain seaworthy in rough seas.
