Keel laid for first ASW-SWC corvette being built at CSL today:-

In other news, Steel Cutting for 6th and 7th ASW-SWC corvettes at CSL also started yesterday.

In parallel, GRSE which is also building ASW-SWC, has laid keel for four corvettes so far.

In total we have five ASW-SWC keels laid and steel cutting for at least seven more ASW-SWC has already commenced.

some internet chatter suggests this is going to be next naval ensign

personally i still prefer vajpayee era design with simple white flag and emblem of the indian navy on right and tricolour on upper left side...but at least this one doesn't have sant george ka chokda and i am happy with that

I served under the old Ensigns, and while I am certainly nostalgic about it, I can accept it was time for a change, and a good change at that. Dark and sad certainly doesnt jibe.

Now Pirates, Thieves, Hindu women rapist, hindu women seller Royal seal will be used as an insignia by Indian Navy , what a downfall could have used cholas , but i have pretty good idea why it was not used. This will have serious repercussion down the line for unity of India.

Yes, some parts of Ashoka's history are indeed false. For Eg: We were taught in schools that Ashoka converted to Buddhism after the Kalinga war, but in reality he converted many years before that war happened.
