I will say it's a Shtil-1 missile. It cannot be Klub/Kalibr Because these missiles have a more round tip shape to their front cone section. They are not pointed like the missile in this Photo.

Nope, as @flanker99 mentioned it's klub.

You can clearly see the Shtil1 arm launcher in the picture, + it can't launch a SAM at that angle.

It's launched from the 8 UKSK cells on Shivalik

Nope, as @flanker99 mentioned it's klub.

How can it be a Klub missile? I have myself examined images of Klub/Kalibr series missiles and I don't see any of them having a "pointed" cone Section to them.

I really want that Shtil launcher to be removed for the Shivalik's. It's one launch at a time then requiring reload can be major impediment in today's fast moving battle scenario. I really hope the VLSRSAM vls cells can be retrofitted on the Shivaliks...

That is likely the slcm varient check wiki klub varients sections u'r doubts will be satiated

That's klub N, the 'N' is for the klub that are ship launched (S for submarine launched).
The klub N consists of AShM, LACM, & anti submarine ballistic missile types, the major difference between S & N is that N has TLC for vertical launch

DRDO TO GET KILO CLASS SUBMARINE FROM NAVY TO TEST THE ELECTRIC PROPULSION MOTOR, LI-ION BATTERY, AIP, AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES
This sub will be used as a research vessel for the development of next-generation systems and components for the development of 12 indigenous submarines.


New Delhi: DRDO will get a KILO class submarine from the Indian Navy to test the Electric Propulsion motor, Li-ion battery, AIP, and other Technologies. This sub will be used as a research vessel for the development of next-generation systems and components for the development of 12 indigenous submarines. These submarines will go into to manufacturing 2030.

Formalities are being a workout for the transfer of a Kilo-class submarine that will be drydocked to be used as a test platform for the testing of the prototype Lithium-Ion battery system with a Battery Management system (BMS) to validate its energy output and various discharge rates.

DRDO’s AIP technology is based on a Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell that already has been demonstrated on a land-based prototype and DRDO had proposed Navy to loan them a Kilo-class submarine to be used as a research vessel for the AIP system but now it might be fully converted into as a research vessel for many of the systems. Indigenous 5MW Electric Propulsion motor might be next in line to be used for further experimenting with the propulsion system.

Ya'll Nibbiars Even after spending a lot of time couldn't find a Single Indian of Chinese Origin to ever served in the Indian Armed Forces pre and after Independences. If you say it's a small demographic then what about the parsis?. They we also small but still there impact in Indian Armed Forces was hugh even the small Indian jews had also greater Impacts. But no a single finding I could finds. Not a single names or numbers.

It's not to so easy to bring a fleet into your enemy's background . We have significant A2AD capabilities in IOR and we are relying on these assets to offset their numerical strength over us . China is not stupid to risk a confrontation with us in our own backyard in a war . They will get wrecked. We have not kept pace with chinese in warship construction because of the limited budget . Our navy's budget is 1/5th of PLAN's budget in overall value and even smaller when it comes down to capital budget . How do you expect them to keep pace with them with a tiny capital budget of 4 Billion dollars ?

You invest in technologies that can counter enemie's superior technology, not building enough of the same technology. We have to induct large no. of Neptune and sizeable fleet of ASW Corvettes while constructing as many modern submarines as we can within our budget limit. If the enemy has numbers, does not mean it will win. But if the enemy has numbers as well as quality, then you have no choice to create something different to alter their advantage while making the new technology cheap. Russia did the same. USA beat it in the fighter game. Finding no choice, Russia invest in radars and missiles and look where it is today.
