Idiot doesn't know audience laughed at her. The admiral understands this stupidity and didn't rebut the red piller. He also said NO WOMEN ON WARSHIPS IN THE NEAR FUTURE in a twisted way.
After she asked "what is your specialty that I don't have?", he should have simply replied "fighting". Anyway, I don't care too much about this issue, but I do think it will cause problems on a ship if there are only a few women and hundreds of men for months out at sea. It can easily cause jealousy and unnecessary competitiveness between the men, which would not have been there if it stayed an all male crew.

Except Russia, I would not trust any other arms supplier. Also, the first priority is indigenous manufacture which is easier for CATOBAR as it is 50+ year old technology
Same country that is arming China to teeth with all the cutting edge technology for decades including S-300, S-400, SU-30, SU-35?
Trust shouldn’t be a factor in international relationships.

Russia give ToT to India. Again, China is not a true enemy of India. It was because of misguided policy (mostly influenced by the erstwhile hatred towards China by both USSR and USA) to host Tibetan government in exile. That is the sore point of Indo-China relation. Once that is resolved, there is no other problem.

USA, however, is known to be antagonistic to India and consistently supported Pakistan without any reason. Also, USA never gave any ToT to India and even refuses to supply high technology goods due to fear of rverse engineering

Never going to happen unless SC intervenes. That's what these feminazis want. So pussy footing for now unless BJP wants to lose a majority of their voter base to this nonsense.

Then what about Aksai Chin which they occupy ??
And Arunanchal Pradesh which they claim as their own.

Should we give up Aksai Chin and hand over Arunanchal to them in a platter just so we have one less enemy ??

Might as well give kashmir to Pakistan then if we keep bending over backwards for everyone.

Wow! You sound delusional.
The only reason Pakistan today can even dream of challenging India is because of China, not US. Chinese gave Pakis ballistic missile tech through NK, cruise misslies, tanks, nuclear warhead designs, nuclear reactors...

Russians gave ToT to many countries, including India and China.

Who asked to trust USA? You are the one who wants to trust Russians and thinks that Chinese are friends with misunderstandings!

No, it is Tibet for Arunachal & Ladakh trade. Also, Aksai Chin is not exactly in India. Raja Hari Singh never went there. It is just claimed territory, a no man's land.

I don't understand why you don't understand that India started the hostility towards China in 195 by brining in Dalai Lama and even recognising him as legitimate ruler of Tibet. If my understanding is right, the moment India stops supporting Dalai lama, China will stop claiming Arunachal and Ladakh. India is not able to disavow Dalai Lama as it will appear wrong in public. So, better wait for Dalai Lama to die and then stop the problems with China.

You mut understand that congress was filled with foreign agents who acted on foreign behest in international policy and created unencessary enemies in countries like CHina.

Wow! You sound delusional.

USA supplied nuclear technology under AQ Khan to Pakistan. China gave 50kg enriched Uranium but that is not technology. Even USA admits that it was AQ Khan who stole the blueprints. Tanks were also supplied by USA. Cruise missile is reverse engineered Tomahawk, probably with the help of Turkey.

I don't think Pakistan has proper ballistic missiles as they have not issued NOTAMs for many testing. The testing also appears very suspicious in the sense that the missiles never fail. It could be imported missile for temporary measure.

There is indeed some friction with China, but that has to do with some misunderstanding and foolish actions under foreign pressure in the past from India's side.

India’s conventional submarine under upgrade in Russia to be floated out in coming days

MOSCOW, June 1. /TASS/. India’s diesel-electric submarine Sindhukesari under repairs with upgrade in Russia has been rolled out from the workshop of the Zvyozdochka Shipyard in Severodvinsk. The sub will be floated out in several days, a source in defense and diplomatic circles told TASS on Thursday.

"The Indian Navy’s submarine Sindhukesari has been rolled out of the workshop and the slipway stage of the repairs has been completed. In several days, it will be floated out for outfitting work," the source said.

After the repairs with the upgrade are over, "the service life of the Sindhukesari will be extended by 10 years to 35 years," the source noted.

The Sindhukesari is undergoing medium repairs with the upgrade in Russia for the second time now. Another Indian submarine of this class, the Sindhuraj, is also currently at the Zvyozdochka Shipyard.

Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation and the United Ship-Building Corporation declined to comment on this information for TASS.

Indian submarines
A contract for the Sindhukesari’s medium repairs with the upgrade was signed in 2015. The term of the repairs is 27 months.

The Rolldock Star vessel delivered the Sindhukesari to Severodvinsk in June 2016.

The Sindhukesari became the sixth Russian-built Project 877EKM submarine undergoing upgrade at the Zvyozdochka Shipyard for the Indian Navy. Before that, the Severodvinsk-based facility specializing in the repair and decommissioning of nuclear submarines has modernized five diesel-electric subs at its slipway on order from the Indian Navy since 1997: the Sindhuvir, the Sindhuratna, the Sindhugosh, the Sindhuvijay and the Sindhurakshak. The Zvyozdochka Shipyard also provided repairs and upgrade of the submarine Sindhukirti at its base (Visakhapatnam).

The Sindhukesari was built at the Leningrad Admiralty Association (currently, the Admiralty Shipyard). The sub went into service with the Indian Navy in 1989. It underwent medium repairs and modernization at the Admiralty Shipyard.

The Sindhuraj was laid down at the Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard in Nizhny Novgorod in 1985 on order from the Indian government. In 1987, the submarine entered service with the Indian Navy. The Admiralty Shipyard also performed the first medium repairs of this submarine. In 2017, the Sindhuraj was delivered to the Zvyozdochka Shipyard for the second medium repairs.

Latest photo of DRDO's TDV being built at CSL

The Technology Demonstration Vessel (TDV), also referred to as Ship No.20 by the Cochin Shipyard, is a missile range instrumentation ship being built for the DRDO.

Info about this top-secret vessel is even more scarce than the VC11184 OSS being built at HSL. The vessel will primarily be used by DRDO to track the full flight of future long-range missile systems under development, with its array of sensors and radars.

Kilo class submarines going through MLU in Russia

It's being refurbished fully by Russians in lieu of ins Sindhurakshak, which was destroyed by fire on board soon after it was refurbished. Originally this sub was to be decommissioned but due to shortage of subs Russia gave offer to refurbish all kilo class subs to extend life and navy has accepted I suppose. I don't know whether they offered any discount for the destroyed Sindhurakshak.

India’s Il-38 MPA to receive newly developed COMINT system
Mrityunjoy Mazumdar, Alameda, California - Jane's Navy International
12 June 2018

India’s Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL) is seeking a vendor to perform “platform modification and installation” of the Sarvadhari communications intelligence (COMINT) system aboard the Indian navy’s IL-38 maritime patrol aircraft (MPA).

A document for the project notes that the vendor would have to perform engineering studies and analyses as part of the process to install and integrate the new COMINT kit. The planned timeframe for engineering and installation work is over a period of five months from order placement.

The Sarvadhari COMINT system includes an underbelly mounted five-blade antennae, GPS antennae, signal processing and receiver units, and a removable laptop display.
