About that, would you want the CIWS to be high up, instead of below?

Not as high as the ofb crap

It will be lower

Basically 2 modules

One with gun and a sleek mount with reasonable height positioned at the rear , just little bit more in height than the truck cabin with an EO system on top on the gun cowling

And next to it a cabin with cooling / control mechanism of the gun together with gunner console which can link up with an external fire control radar or use the integrated EO fire control system

Land based CIWS based in ak630 may go well with the radar of QRSAM imo. It also features an EOTS.
