They can always reorg and redirect these kichidi trains to more tier 3 interlinks vs grand trunks and slowly standardize on 2 to 3 models over time. Intent is calculative in every govt including NDA, its necessary considering the indifference in Indian population towards anything but even then they can do 100% better job playing politics. It is generally getting better though.....
No employee asked IT companies to do any of this.

Regardless, wage inflation not matching skill level is overall bad as everyone by nature chases money and lucrative careers whether they have skill or not and this means other areas running into shortage. Not good overall, entry level of avg quality should gain couple of years experience before seeing improved paygrades.
I think coding guys will see an impact along with QA/QC and so on with advancements and refinements in this domain. Wonder if programming languages itself can come with built in AI Assists eliminating paying for some of these things
