And these are the costs in our 'expensive' private hospitals in Tier-1 cities. In private hospitals of smaller cities this will be much more cheaper.
Price is way overrated . May be from luxury hospital . Dental implant surgery says 1000 dollar i.e 80k rupees . If it is about root canal treatment and attaching cap , then i did it in rs 7000 in a decent clinic 1 year back .

1. Another attack on Indian generic Pharmaceutical sector? The us. drug regulator, fda has now sent a “warning letter” to Indian pharma company Lupin ltd for Poor Manufacturing Practices and using adulterated apis. Company has now suspended production at the facility.
2. Lupin is a major Pharmaceutical manufacturing company producing both generic and branded medicines, apis, biosimilars (drugs similar to approved drugs) and has 15 plants in India, the amreekans, Brazil and Mexico.

3. Warning letter from amreekans drug regulator to Lupin Tarapur plant accuses them of • Violations of poor manufacturing practices, • Problems with claims for what a product can do and • Incorrect directions for use.

Lupin had replied to the warning letter which was first issued privately in September but fda found it lacking. “Your response is inadequate because it did not provide sufficient detail or evidence of corrective actions to bring your operations into compliance with cgmp.”

Reliance Industries has bagged the contract to set up the country's first multimodal logistics park (MMLP) in Chennai. The proposed state-of-the-art freight-handling facility, with access to various modes of transport, will be developed in three phases, with estimated developer investment of ₹783 crore, the roads, transport and highways ministry said in a statement on Friday.

Phase I development is targeted within two years, by 2025, leading to commercial operations. Total cost of the project under public-private partnership (PPP) mode is estimated at ₹1,424 crore, the ministry said. The 184.27-acre park, awarded by a bidding process, is estimated to cater to 7.17 million metric tonnes of cargo over the 45-year concession period.

This is the first of 35 MMLPs the transport ministry is developing under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan to provide multimodal connectivity to various economic zones.

The ministry has prioritised 15 MMLPs in the next three years. "The BangaloreMMLP is next in the pipeline; due date for bids (is) in November," Prakash Gaur, chief executive of National Highways Logistics Management (NHLML) told ET. "We plan to award it in December."

Nagpur, Indore Parks to be Awarded Next Year

Bids for the Nagpur MMLP will be called in December and the project awarded in January 2023, while the Indore MMLP will be awarded by March 2023 after bids are called in January, he said.

NHLML is a wholly owned special purpose vehicle (SPV) of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), set up to develop the logistics parks. These multimodal hubs lay the foundation for development of large-scale infrastructure projects in PPP mode, for which both the central and state governments have come together.

For the Chennai MMLP, a government SPV has been formed among NHLML, Rail Vikas Nigam, Chennai Port Authority and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation. It will provide four-lane national highway connectivity of 5.4 km at an estimated Rs 104 crore and a new rail siding of 10.5 km to the MMLP, costing Rs 217 crore.

Foreign Interest

Commenting on the profile of bidders in the upcoming MMLP bids, Gaur said, "We are getting a lot more enquiries in the upcoming MMLP bids than the one that closed just now. Interest is being expressed by firms based out of the US, Canada and Europe." Specialised global funds of the logistics sector have also been keen, Gaur said.

It is surreal to think that a cumskin can direct Pajeets to commit mass suicide by making one underhanded video.

NEW DELHI: ESR Group plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in Karnataka to set up industrial and logistics parks, data centres, and urban distribution centres. The company said in a statement that it has signed an "MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the government of Karnataka, envisaging Rs 2,500 crore investment for setting up industrial
and logistics parks, urban distribution centres and data centres."

This initiative will help generate 5,500 jobs in Karnataka.

The MoU was signed at the Invest Karnataka Global Investors meet in Bengaluru.

ESR India, part of the ESR Group, is a leading developer and manager of industrial and logistics real estate with assets under management of about USD 1.7 billion and over 18 million square feet of gross floor area.

Abhijit Malkani, CEO, ESR India, said: "Karnataka is a significant market for us due to its mature industrial ecosystem. We aim to bring world-class development expertise in industrial and logistics parks, urban distribution centres and data centres to enrich the state's industrial, logistics and data infrastructure."

The agreement will accelerate development and attract more investments from multinational and national companies, he said.

Came across some study on Informal Economy. If it's anything close to truth, then India's gdp is much larger than the official data.

https://www.worldeconomics.com/Informal-Economy/

Btw, every country has informal economy. Only, the % varies.

US' informal economy is estimated to be at just 7%. China's is at 13%. India's is estimated to be at a whopping 50%!

Pakistan's is at around 30%. Bangladesh's is also around 30%.

According to this measure, after including the Informal Economy as well as adjusting the out of date base year , the GDP (PPP) changes greatly:

1. China with $30 Trillion
2. US with $22.5 Trillion
3. India with $15 Trillion
4. Japan with $5.6 Trillion
5. Russia with $5.5 Trillion
6. Germany with $4.8 Trillion

Leaving out the informal economy, India's another problem is the out of date base year. In January 2015, the government replaced the previous base year of 2004-05 with a new base year of 2011-12 for national accounts.

So, we're around 11 years behind for a base year. Once we rebase and include more formal economy, I think reaching $5 Trillion isn't much of an issue.

The issue, however, is making the difference felt at ground level. If we reach $5 Trillion overnight, and people don't feel any change, what's it for? We're going in a good direction, I just hope we do it faster.
