those are not bullet proof vest and second pic maybe its not torn,its made that way to keep air flow otherwise it is gonna get too hot and sweaty after wearing the jacket.why army jawans does not wear proper uniform their shoes does not match. their bullet proof vest torn and worn

@Kunal already told once that if a soldier can purchase better gear than what is supplied by the Army, they do it. Also, those vests don't look like BFJ, more like ammo vests.why army jawans does not wear proper uniform their shoes does not match. their bullet proof vest torn and worn

The unit at the first pics look more like some special units given the no. of TARs and M4s, may be Ghatak platoon of the battalion stationed there? You can easily distinguish between them and common infantry carrying INSAS and wearing standard helmet in later picture.Since when did Indian army start using AR series. Doesn't look like an AK series to me from above image.
There is a cantonment nearby in the town of Pathankoth the soldiers must have come from there.A

That is an INSAS LMG with black furniture. There is another INSAS (AR or LMG, unclear) a little to the right partially visible between the legs which also has black furniture.The last but one photo could be an excalibur
