All tanks have vulnerable spots even with protection. If one hits at the correct spot then odds are high it may catch fire more quickly. We have seen tanks in houthi war burning up too and israeli ones in 2006 war

T 90A above has 715-725 mm protection from front against KE and 1100mm against CE. This tank was hit from a side, vulnerable spot for any tank. Indian T 90S protection level are superior to T 90A.

AFAIK we operate the 'monkey' models, read thinner armour ones. How come ours are superior to the Russian ones?
If we added armour to it then it came at the cost of mobility. The so called kanchan armour thing is it real??

Actually it was a bad hit, I reckon. From where the point is there next to no armour (only a thin steel side plate).
That means it crashed against the tank at a glancing angle, or else the Tandoor-90 would have lived up to its name if any of the jet was actually pointed at the tank.

I can't disagree... We are in the era of warhead.

The side with better target acquiring, weapon seeker & guidance tech (& countermeasures) will win. Everything else is secondary. It's not just tankvsATGM but in sea, air & land.

A very dense anti aircraft defences can be a problem.but aircrafts are adopting for it tanks are also.Future tanks like NGMBT with high countermeasures will be some what successfull and it seems no one is ditching tanks everyone is making them compatible to modern battlefield

Tanks will evolve to find solution to that. Afterall you need to hold territory and you need armored vehicles to do that. Otherwise you might win the battle but can't hold land and hence lose the war.

ATGM literally means Anti Tank Guided Missile, if the crew survived an ATGM, particularly a fierce Konkurs then it has balls of steel.
