Is it in service or still trials?
I think yes. Those recent pics of Para Airborne with their Sigs were seen with them too. I'm not cent percent sure though. Is it in service or still trials?
Actually helmet + bpj modernisation is still in progress given the huge numbers. Also low risk/ peacetime/ exercise units are still using older gear. Almost all frontline troops I have seen use the newer gear. That tweet picture...
What a gross combination ! WW2 era tin helmet and SiG rifle ! IA top brass have simply failed equipping our jawans , shame
Well SiG was also meant to be given to frontline troops first. So a fair assumption that the soldiers wielding SiGs are frontline troops but still have old helmets . Don't you think ? Or is it that the pace of equipping troops with a better rifle (a sophisticated piece of machinery) is faster than equipping them with a modern helmet (a simple piece of machinery) ? In which case all the more shame !Actually helmet + bpj modernisation is still in progress given the huge numbers. Also low risk/ peacetime/ exercise units are still using older gear. Peace time duties like Cantonments and Field Exercises generally have older gear.
Troops at the LOC have far better gear

Even the integrated knee pads look nice. Does anyone know how effective they are in real life over regular knee pads? The Uzbeks uniform blends in really well.but ours is sticking out
Useless, what can one achieve using iron sights on a battle rifle?
Don't mind me asking you, but do you know whether he is an officer or jawan?
