Who said PSUs don’t deliver? Entire CCP MIC is PSUs only. PSUs can deliver - they just need the right motivation. For Russia, it was the Gulag, for the CCP it was labor camps. For Pakis - it was no free land and house in a posh area or cushy ambassador posts. For the US - immediate termination and loss of career. For India, it is actually rewarding for non performance, due to political compulsions of having to rely on government for jobs for millions thanks to the failed Nehruvian socialism.Paki OFB wala's masters also take national security interests seriously, aside from running their pizzeria and ice cream chains, and chaddi-banyan brands.
Here PSU kamchors want ez employment, least kaam, most salary and benefits.
Top Brass and various babooze want phoren maal and the associated bribes, kickbacks, phoren vacations and nights with Natasha/Stacy/Rebekah/Amelie.
Govt runs clueless among all these.
On the same page I have said the same, some posts belowWho said PSUs don’t deliver? Entire CCP MIC is PSUs only. PSUs can deliver - they just need the right motivation. The entire Chinese defense industry is basically PSUs only, but unlike here, failure and laziness carries consequences to everyone involved in a particular company/factory among the Chinese MIC.
You cannot strike, you cannot produce garbage rifles and yet be smug about it.
There are consequences always, the CCP wants and gets results from its MIC, because it has a long term vision of making China a great power, this military materiel plays a large role in that.
Sorry but I disagree. The Chinese MIC is not PSU, because the CCP is more akin to a board of directors at a corporation. Tencent , Alibaba all come with CCP backing. The people who run their MIC are answerable with their lives. Their MIC is NOT owned by the 'public' same way the PLA first loyalty/only is to the CCP and not China.[ said PSUs don’t deliver? Andhra Pradesh and Telangana OCTOPUS Police Tactical units use SiG-716 G2 Patrol variant already.Should have gone for SIG 716 G2 patrol. even in small numbers.
is army interested ?Andhra Pradesh and Telangana OCTOPUS Police Tactical units use SiG-716 G2 Patrol variant already.
I don’t think so, G2 is heavier and expensive for no reason, thats why 716i is best option but afaik G2 would be comfortable whereas 716i is uncomfortable, no grips provided by the army.is army interested ?
G2 is piston operated. Makes it more reliable, but slightly less accurate. Accuracy can be ignored as it is for riflemen. But it is also much more expensive ($600 Or so), and is available only with 18" barrel. So 716i was a good option, in the sense that it is lighter and more compact.I don’t think so, G2 is heavier and expensive for no reason, thats why 716i is best option but afaik G2 would be comfortable whereas 716i is uncomfortable, no grips provided by the army.
What's your opinion regarding AK 203, in my opinion it's the worst option among them all for it's price. is there any TOT or just screw giri ?.G2 is piston operated. Deal should be cancelled or ofb should be removed from joint venture. What's your opinion regarding AK 203, in my opinion it's the worst option among them all for it's price. is there any TOT or just screw giri ?.
Yeah, it sucks. ToT and political shit aside, it is an AK. Means it isn't ergonomic or user friendly. What's your opinion regarding AK 203, in my opinion it's the worst option among them all for it's price. is there any TOT or just screw giri ?.
AK-19 should be procured, will be better as it will make logistics easier as it will share common ammo with Car-816 carbines and it will give a reliable platform as well as it is much modern variant of the Kalashnikov family, as AK-203 is just a modified AK-47, a FAB Kit modified AK-47 is better than an AK-203.What's your opinion regarding AK 203, in my opinion it's the worst option among them all for it's price. is there any TOT or just screw giri ?.
Imo, IWI ACE in 5.56 is the ultimate AK style rifle around as of now. Only downside is that it is heavy. But I'd have loved to that in the hands of IA.AK-19 should be procured, will be better as it will make logistics easier as it will share common ammo with Car-816 carbines and it will give a reliable platform as well as it is much modern variant of the Kalashnikov family, as AK-203 is just a modified AK-47, a FAB Kit modified AK-47 is better than an AK-203.
AK-19 has better iron sights another advantage is that it enables the soldier to carry more Ammo than a traditional 7.62x39mm round is heavier than a 5.56x45mm NATO round, whereas 5.56x45 has better accuracy, muzzle velocity etc.
instead of AK 203 we should go for this. He look funny though lol.View attachment 65400

do we want 5.56 or 7.62 ? 5.56 has no future , even USA is moving up. Why not AK 15 or maybe new version of AK 19 which may come up with 7.62*39mm in near future.AK-19 should be procured, will be better as it will make logistics easier as it will share common ammo with Car-816 carbines and it will give a reliable platform as well as it is much modern variant of the Kalashnikov family, as AK-203 is just a modified AK-47, a FAB Kit modified AK-47 is better than an AK-203.

I can finally say that a regular infantry soldier (not Ghatak or SF) in the IA has a modern rifle platform. Hopefully, they can license build the SIGS in India to equip all frontline troops with them (would work well with the Negev 762x51).View attachment 65400

USA has a habit of show off by buying the most expensive platforms, imo we should have adopted the 6.8x43mm cartridge to replace all others.do we want 5.56 or 7.62 ? 5.56 has no future , even USA is moving up. Why not AK 15 or maybe new version of AK 19 which may come up with 7.62*39mm in near future.
USA is not moving up yet. The NGSW program has about as much chance of success as previous M4 replacement programs. M4 is here to stay. Modern 5.56mm cartridges are good enough. Modern 5.56 rounds like M855A1, Mk.262 77gr, Mk. 318 62gr are the way to go. Even USMC is adopting the M27 IAR, in 5.56 and it will be around for the next 40 years. So, 5.56mm carbine was a good decision by IA.do we want 5.56 or 7.62 ? 5.56 has no future , even USA is moving up. Why not AK 15 or maybe new version of AK 19 which may come up with 7.62*39mm in near future.
