Some of you guys should seriously think about taking up defence reporting as a career. You'd do your nation a great service and make a pretty decent pay package, too.

Indian army chief to visit US to enhance defence cooperation

In the light of enhanced defence cooperation between India and the United States, over the last five years, Indian Army Chief, General VK Singh will visit the United States from March 7.

The visit is being undertaken after two years.

The ongoing defence cooperation between both countries comprises - equipment procurement, exchange of delegations and joint military exercises.

During the visit, the Army Chief will visit important establishments of the US Armed Forces and meet a number of high ranking defence and civilian officials. He is also due to be inducted into 'The Hall of Fame' at the Army War College of which he is an alumnus.

The visit is aimed at diversifying, army-to-army cooperation in the field of training, exchange of experts in the field of mutual interests, attendance in seminars and participation in sports and adventure activities.

The ongoing military cooperation between India and the US is bound to grow as India plans to spend billions of dollars for modernising the defence equipments.

I came across this video while going through another forum. This video is a testament to the fact how the IA treats its enemy unlike the army to which the dead soldiers belong. This video also speaks of that age old belief that a soldier should always be treated as one with full honour & dignity bestowed on him even if he belongs to the enemy. Seeing this video swells your heart with pride in being an Indian.

We have Dogra, Gurkha, Punjab, Naga the ones i know very well, Being Punjab dosent mean it only manned by Punjabis same goes for everyone..

We have Regiments and each of them is unique and that what represent by their Identity, thats how we live within our culture, We learn each other and respect each other, We fight together, We exist in many form but fight as one, We all are One united Army known as Indian Army,

Any thing or intervention can dis-balance this unique culture we have, thats the reason Political scum like mayawati and etc should stay away..

My bad, Mistaken it as M4 carbine actually its Berretta Mx4 Storm 9 mm x 19 submachine guns...

The Beretta Mx4 Storm is submachine gun based on semi-automatic Beretta Cx4 Storm carbine, with shorter 312-mm and full-auto fire capability. It should replace the 1A1 and 1A2 Carbines (licence British Sterling SMGs) in the BSF hands.

And this is after the Pak Govt disclaimed the captured soldiers and denied their very existence.
