At present J-31 is in prototype and even if it enters production in 2025 chinese can churn it at a rate of 18+ jets a year. So they can easily manufacture a squadron each year.

Mirage will going to phased out from 2032 onwards. the similar timeline for Jag ( except DARIN 3). almost similar timeline will be followed by Mig-29UPG

Don't worry about Pak. we will have FGFA , rafale and Su-30MKI as a upperhand over Pak.
also don't forgrt LCA and one of the F16/gripen

First of all , Pak budget will not allow any instant modernization/procurement plan.
They are still using a sub-standard and unmatured Blunder

A squadron (or two) donated by China will do the job. There are many reasons to do so.

1. To piss off India, might also fasten our FGFA with Russia.(China can expect some deal closure with Russia too)
2. To pull Pak entirely out of American sphere.
3. Land swapping deal with PA.

Before you guys point out Pak's eye opened on China looting it through CPEC. Let me tell you that Pak is run by it's army. PA would definitely like to have an advantage over IAF. I see no reason for PAF to back off, if the deal is offered by PLA(at whatever the cost)

yup, it may happen but pak even don't have enough budget to maintain all the jets in their inventory (at present) than how can they handle the maintenance of so called stealth J-31

Indian economy is growing about 10 times faster then Porkistan in absolute terms.
Porki economy 300 billion at 6% growth= 18billion#.( That's a dream for them.)
Indian economy 2500 billion at 7% = 175billion $.( That's the least for us.)

So we are adding some 150billion $ extra.
And the difference is only going up and up.
Porkistan will have to give up at some point.

Let. me grasp this. Pakistan, which is close to bankrupt by maintaining so many single engine 4th gen F-16s, will certainly be doomed if China gifts it 2 squadrons of J-31s. Only maintainace charges will dry them up real good. Not to mention their pilots will be new to a twin-engine fighter; not sure if they can handle those. And finally, those are of Chinese. Anything Chinese say 5th gen, you are damn sure those will not be more than 4.5 gen. Tiny Israel has trouble maintaining their F-16Is, so they are acquiring some single engine F-35Is. Pak has almost equal economy, but has significantly bigger land mass and more people to feed. Their ISI also needs funds to continue their conspiracy against India. So Pak, getting even a medium 5th gen bird, is simply a pipe dream. For its part, China would better develop a Pak's city instead.

India line will build 3-4 F-16s every month, claims Lockheed Martin
Says early decision would let India build F-16s for Bahrain and Indonesia
Ajai Shukla | New Delhi August 22, 2017 Last Updated at 21:38 IST

Lockheed Martin, the world’s biggest defence vendor, which is pitching strongly to sell the Indian Air Force (IAF) its new F-16 Block 70 fighter, told Business Standard on Tuesday that, if India chose its fighter, an Indian production line would churn out three-to-four F-16s every month. “We want to create the capacity to build three or more aircraft per month; we could do four. It depends upon how many aircraft India needs and when it will buy those”, said Randy Howard, who markets the F-16 globally for Lockheed Martin. For the IAF, which is making do ...

If 3-4 aircraft's can churned out that is about 40-50 jets a year, pretty impressive number.

That will add 2 squadrons strength every year to our air force.

Just the aspect of fueling a double engine aircraft would be a deal breaker for a near bankrupt nation gripped in a perpetual energy crisis!

Nothing special, These type of offers are generally promised while marketing any product.

But its also true that India's closeness with America , gives a hike to LM

I think IAF should allow IA to have their own aerial divisions. IAF should stop demanding those platforms as its own. You know, Army received 6 AH-64Es, but has planned to procure upto 39 Apaches (2 squadrons) . No wonder, IAF does not feel good about it.
IA is already allowed to do so. They already ordered HAL Rudra and LCH , even more than IAF.

IAF's rudeness started after the news of IA's procurement of Apaches.
Yup, there is a lack of interoperability between the forces but it will be minimised as soon as the chief of defence staff will be appointed.
