Good grief. Forget the plane, it's the pilots who matter. Good job finding the wreckage.

I wonder how many flying hrs each Su-30MKI logs per year? We had no crashes for a very long time and then 7 until now.
@TPFscopes: what's annual flight time per fighter pilot in the IAF?

I hope the pilots are found and their immediate family is safe. I also hope to see flying done in India, a little humble and high on pilot safety, to further see them telling stories about their life to their family.

On an average MKI pilots flew for 220-245hrs per year in peace time which will rose to ~300hrs during high tension.

Crashes depends on various factors like mis handling, poor maintenance, low grade spares and weather conditions (peace time)

Well lets keep our fingers crossed the pilots are safe ..With two days gone and the kind of terrain the Jet went missing what are the chances of the pilots to survive if they had ejected out...?

That is a lot of flight time for the Su-30MKI in peacetime. It would put a lot of stress on the airframe and engines which, being Russian, tend to be optimised for less flight time.

What is the conspiracy theory you are hearing ??????
I have not heard any conspiracy theory, but there are some points which I think would make it sound like conspiracy theory.
Better not discuss them here and derail the thread. I would keep it to myself for now.

Search for missing Sukhoi is expended into Bhutan.

Meanwhile more conspiracy theories.

Not a lot considering the speed, altitude, and the terrain wherethey ejected (if they did). Let's wait and pray that their survival training proves to be of some use.

Do share any theory which you may have. If anything, they will educate us on the different ways through which an MKI can be brought down.

No use in propagating conspiracy theory over here in this thread. But we could always talk about such things in PM.

This HPM system has a range of 50 kms was our Jets so close the chinese border and do you think the high mountain terrain is so easy for the chinese to put a system like that so close to our border and our guys didn't detected it at all and authorised routine sortie s close to the chinese border

I simply think it was a normal crash because of technical failure coupled along with bad weather ..

The Ranets E is a High Power Microwave (HPM) weapon system intended to produce electrically lethal damage or disruption and dysfunction in opposing airborne systems, be they aircraft or guided munitions in flight. The system was first disclosed by Rosoboronexport in 2001, but little technical detail has been disclosed since then. The weapon uses an X-band pulsed 500 MegaWatt HPM source, generating 10 to 20 nanosecond pulses at a 500 Hz PRF, and average output power of 2.5 to 5 kiloWatts. The antenna is large enough to provide a gain of 45 to 50 dB in the X-band, for a total weapon weight of 5 tonnes. The weapon has been described as a “radio-frequency cannon” and Russian sources credit it with a lethal range of 20 miles against the electronic guidance systems of PGMs and aircraft avionic systems.

Even if they had ejected a second before the crash, they would still have died. Pretty obvious once you see the site of crash.

Considering that somw one did us this high power system.
Now question arises about how could one know about location of aircraft in prior.
Does that indicate we have moles inside IAF.
