Has this been verified? Last time I checked none of the specifics of the purchase have been made public nor Russians are as advanced in EW warfare domain when compared to Israeli.

A lot of twitter defense analyst have a habit of making stuff up.

Yup no confirmation till date. Yet Putin's visit is close so lot's of rumours flying around.

But they make sense. Mig29 upg is a potent jets against porky f16 blk 52. Now 21 upg with aesa could keep future porky f16 upgrade in balance.

Mki aesa will be part of Indian mlu program for whole su30 fleet. So it might take some time.

I can speculate that as we have build the mission computer and its software we can integrate Uttam Radar in MKI. As for Mig-29 neither have we built the mission computer nor we have source code integration will be challenging and expensive.

Since the Mig-21 shot down F-16 thread is locked, posting this here.
Tom Cooper, a reputed military aviation journalist saying the US helped cover up the F-16 loss:

But, hey: seems he's saved one of damaged F-16s, or helped collect wreckage on time (i.e. before this could've been revealed in the public) so everything's fine and he's now receiving a medal for that. And: now we know who was responsible for counting all the PAF F-16s after that Balakot brawl, two years ago.
