It's not memory loss, it's just not worth remembering. Tejas sits on the lowest rung of our inventory, and in such minuscule numbers, that ACM might as well remember BAE Hawk over it.

Also, ACM is going to Egypt to request them not to order Tejas, because if HAL started to make Tejas for Egypt, we might only get our Tejas Mk2 at the end of the century.

I doubt they are planning to have Russians develop the EW suite for this. They probably plan to ink a deal with Russians for 12 more Su-30 MKI airframes including the hafta payment for modifications. The modifications will be done by DRDO most likely, maybe in conjunction with the Israelis, maybe not.
So its the same as the rumours of 12 Su-30MKI we've been hearing all along, but now they'll modify it as EW platforms.

Has this been verified? Last time I checked none of the specifics of the purchase have been made public nor Russians are as advanced in EW warfare domain when compared to Israeli.

A lot of twitter defense analyst have a habit of making stuff up.
