For that our Air Force has to cross the border. It can happen during the next air strikes if there is an escalation. Also it is the prerogative of IAF to decide which weapons to use during which threat. They are the experts. Every problem has a different solution.

The area shown in Red is the area India has captured from Pakistan in Akhnoor. A few days back we had seen inverted flags flying on some posts of Pakistan. Those posts were the posts captured by India. Pak Army just deserted them under the arty assualt by India.

I don't think it's easy as that to go on all out war against Pak. If Modi did that, half of the country would be calling for his head.

Well I think the entire country currently wants the heads of masud ajhar, bajwa and the isi chief.

Not trolling here, but what benefit would we get if we take PoK (Genuine question) - does it hold any economical / strategic benefits? It's just mountainous terrain which is difficult to capture because of restricted movement possible.

As per many rumors floating around, if we are capturing paki posts one by one and advancing LOC few meter/day, it is a slow but steady progress for us - and Paki will not acknowledge this is happening as doing so will would mean public would turn against Paki army.

Not enough, advance should be made by kilometers and not meters.

If we are to use nukes, we should be ready for them from the other side. Pak has played nuke bluff many time, but if the situation arises where it's existence is under threat, I will expect them to use them as a last resort.

Instead of conventional warfare which will make us agressor in eyes of the world, we should concentrate on dismantling Pak bit-by-bit

Covertly supporting BLA is a good start.

We are ready, just launch a massive pre emptive nuke strike and devastate the pureland completely and deploy our ABM systems to counter theirs if any is left of them.

This is the famous/infamous Akhnoor Dagger a.k.a Chicken's Neck

This was the point of Pak Armoured thrust in 1965 @ Operation Grand Slam that failed miserably.

Doesn't happen overnight. This government will go about it in the way it deems best. But unlike previous Governments, you can be sure about the current one's desire to deal with Pakistan.

Seriously man, we fought the 71 war with the Mig21s and its 2019 now. I think they will even press Gnats and Hunters in service if they feel like it.

Modi is the last person to blame for that. Just be thankful that even at tremendous potential political cost to himself, he pressed ahead with 36 Rafales anyways (and could potentially go for more post elections). It was also the current Gvt, with Parrikar as DM, that settled on the LCA MK1A standard and backed it for a big order - because as far as solving the squadron shortfall is concerned, the bulk solution will have to be provided by the LCA. Rafales may come in decent numbers, but they'll always be the tip of the spear.

Pinaka Mk1 rocket and an artillery shell from Dhanush have almost the exact same range - both are capable of targetting close targets too in a lofty trajectory .

In terms of cost....1 Pinaka rocket (~$15,000) carries the same amount of explosive material as about 15 155mm shells (~15,000)

In fact the Dhanush barrel wears out after about 1000 firings....so add ~$1million.....that results in an additional $1000 per shell firing.
So 15 Dhanush shells => $30,000
1 Pinaka rocket => $15,000

Of course if it's only 1 rocket then you cannot get the precision....like 15 shells can. But on a large quantity they would work out more or less the same.
