For all those who're asking why trade with China....
You don't need to wait for the government to impose sanctions! You can at an individual level affirm to never buy Chinese goods (no matter how expensive the alternative might be)

For more than a decade I've unilaterally imposed sanctions on Pakistani goods and Trump goods! Never bought a single Trump item or stayed at a Trump property ever, no matter how good a deal (I hated the nutjob even before he became President)!!!
Similarly I never bought a Pakistan made product - no matter how cheap it was (US gets flooded with Paki leather)!!!!

Pakistan, which claims to have de-escalated tensions with India, has once again provoked the Indian forces by sending two fighter jets close to the line of control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector on Tuesday night.

Following the incident, India’s air defence system has been put on high alert. The Pakistani jets not only came close to the Indian air space, but also went supersonic near the LoC, causing a loud noise due to sonic boom. The blast-like sound also created panic among the locals. Sonic booms caused by large supersonic aircraft can be particularly loud and startling and may cause minor damage to some structures.

According to senior officials, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets were caught on Indian radars and preventive measures were taken. As the jets remained within Pakistani-controlled territory, they were not shot down.

On Wednesday, the cross-LoC trade was suspended after the Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire along the LoC by resorting to unprovoked mortar-shelling and firing with small arms in Poonch.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has already kept all the air stations and important installations on Passive Air Defence Mode (PADM). The IAF has also cancelled leave permits of its officers.

The Army and IAF have issued classified directions to all stations, particularly active flying stations, base repair depots, and equipment depots, to increase their efforts to make spares available at a very short notice to meet war requirements.

Come out with a simple trade rule: "for a smartphone to qualify as 'made in India,' the silicon fabrication of its application processor, DRAM, and NAND flash, must happen in India." Then sit back and watch Chinese smartphone companies collapse one after another in India, in the face of import tariffs that make them uncompetitive against traditional players like Samsung.

By that logic, they aren't "Made in China" either. Chinese commercial semiconductor fab tech isn't applicable for most modern smartphones yet. They import over 90% of chips and assemble in their country.

In India we have two nice chip fabs but they aren't commercial and are assets of ISRO & Indian Military services. We are same overall here. You don't need to worry while buying a phone with "Made in India" written on it.

We are China's biggest market....we should stop buying there product .....

We are one of bigs, not biggest. We are out of top 5 while projected to become second in near future and biggest in distant future.

I think baluchis have already targeted oil pipe line . India though not overtly but alteast through covert means should now start targeting CPEC assets. Because Chinese have successfully inserted themselves in Indo-Pak equation now. Their stance is now clear.

Much more work now need to be done on Economic front, we need to develop fab labs and other critical infrastructures to gain some Independence from Chinese imports and also boost local economy .
India need a strong government and should reform labor laws now.
Govt now need to invest heavily in manufacturing base.

There are various components of BMD systems. Some of them have been tested and verified, some need more tests & some are yet under development.

I don't think we are going to get any official confirmation at least in first 5 years of its deployment, given its nature. It's a highly critical strategic asset & no way, its location or status would be shared entirely ever.

It's more like a "Me Too" approach.

Pakistanis with a small series of old ballistic & cruise missiles declare themselves ahead of India, with HEU based linear implosion tactical nukes, they compare their nuclear program with India, with sounding rockets launched in 1960 & BRBM tests, they compare it with Indian Space Program.

China is working with Pakistan on JF-17 Block 3. It may be operational in a year or 2. DRDO & HAL need to pull all their resources and make Tejas upgrades before the timelines. It's war time and we cannot wait for many years at a tortoise speed. They need to pull their socks up and deliver hardware at faster speed.

Whatever China does for Pakistan.. it cannot make Pakistan overcome it's lack its lack of strategic depth (it is a narrow strip of land.. and many of its most important cities are close to the border )... Pakistan will always be more vulnerable than India.. and an arms race.. wherein India improves it's AWACS and long range Sam capabilities will make it worse...
