Problem is we have restricted ourselves to only attacking jihadis. Most jihadis have embedded themselves on pakistani military installations, so task becomes difficult vis a vis air strikes. However I would advocate using air strikes against launchpads near LoC saying that terrorists were gathering there, while also hitting some pak military targets once in a while

As US tries to exit Afghanistan, I believe we'll get more chances to let loose our SOFs, air-strike pakistan and subsequently get international support for the same.

I believe Surgical Strikes 2 set up a great precedent and is a test run to make it a regular habit of attacking pakistani based "terrorist hide outs" significantly denting their hybrid warfare capabilities.

The more we keep hitting them, the better we'll get at it.

USA dont really want an Exit from Afghanistan.
The attack on Taliban forces and US AIr assets happened in the midst of the peace talk with Taliban in USA.
Then they stopped the negotiation in the middle..
Now Trump has a reason to stay put their forces in Afghan.
