How do you and chellany know that it was Pakistan who violated cease fire and not India? It's actually we who are violating cease fire to stop infiltration and tiring out Porki army before final assault and damaging their economy by making them spend on weapons. Also demoralising their army, Navy, air force by killing their soldiers and with pakjabi army not even recognising their fallen ones. The economic fall out is demoralising and wearing out aam Abduls who will start revolting when in 2020 27billion dollars will be due for payment and with fatf black listing porkistan will be no longer able to pay off and will be bankrupt financially making it difficult for Porki army to keep porkistan United and we will then do cesarean to get the babies Baluchistan, Sindh, POK out...

Whats the khujli to get rid of AR? AR and SFF are the only 2 paramilitary in the country.

That is a bad thinking and bureaucratic plan to increase their largesse.

Assam Rifles is a fine Paramilitary . Make it an ITBP outfit and India would require minimum three more division to guad Myanmar border.

Myanmar border at times becomes more active than LC with Pakistan with far more difficult terrain and far better insurgents / terrorists than Pakistani Abduls.

ITBP deployment anywhere on Indian border necessitates keeping Army divisions behind them. ITBP under no circumstances reduces Army strength.

In case of Assam Rifles, the case is opposite. Assam Rifles on Myanmar border does not necessitates keeping Army divisions just behind them essentially for two reasons. Firstly it is under command Army, and secondly officered and led by Army. they are much better trained and experienced for operations in NE.

ITBP would not be anywhere near specially after its reorganisation as all india reservationist / OBC force having no cohesion. Indian Army will have to create additional forces to look after Myanmar border, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura. Just watch and see.

I hope some sense prevails with Motu Bhai and IPS lobby is not able to hoodwink him this time around. They have been trying it for last fifty years.

Assam Rifles may soon be merged with ITBP
The government is working on a plan to divest the Army of operational control over India’s oldest paramilitary force Assam Rifles, responsible for guarding Myanmar border, and is likely to merge it with ITBP, which guards borders along China.

Sources in the government said the proposal might soon be placed before the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), but not before the MHA gave its approval.

The Assam Rifles was formed in 1835 as ‘Cachar Levy’ to guard the alluvial plains of Assam against tribes. Sources said once the control issue was resolved, Assam Rifles could be merged with ITBP and given responsibility of guarding Myanmar border. They said reason for doing so was to ensure ITBP got better operational manoeuvrability by rotating personnel from difficult Himalayan posting to Myanmar border plains.

This is the kind of rubbish our babu cabal comes up with to constantly keep undermining the national security apparatus in favor our more posts and fiefdoms for themselves. Govt also falls victim to this sneaky behavior as we do not practice a system of having domain experts or professionals handling the ministries, rather having game of musical chairs between senior party functionaries to occupy high office as prestige posts without actually doing anything of note.

Don't be surprised if they come up with a way to create a complete new CAPF agency (to add to the alphabet soup) under an IPS officer of course, to take on internal security duties currently handled by the AR while the AR's built up expertise and experience slowly dissolves into CAPF cauldron.

At what point does the term "Ceasefire Violation" become meaningless? An unprovoked and targeted attack against a patrol party can already be considered well beyond a CFV.
