LUCKNOW: Rafale fighter jet from French company
Dassault Aviation, and F-35 Lightning II of US defence manufacturer Lockheed Martin, will be among major attractions of the DefExpo-2020, slated to be held in Lucknow from February 5-8.
According to Indian Air Force (IAF) officials, Rafale jet will form a part of the French and US arsenal which will be on displayed in Hall 1 of the Expo.
Lockheed Martin, American manufacturer of some of the world’s most sophisticated fighter jets, is also expected to showcase its products in Hall 2.
Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, fifth-generation combat aircraft, will have an entire pavilion to itself.
Artillery and ammunition from Israel, known for its high-end military power, will also be on display in the Expo. A separate section has been earmarked for Israel’s ministry of defence while a dedicated pavilion has been kept aside for defence companies from Israel.
The list includes RADA, specialists in defence electronics, ORBIT, a missioncritical communication solutions for land, sea, air and space applications, and Israel Aerospace – an aviation manufacturer which makes aerial and astronautic systems for both military and civilian usage.
In addition, defence players from South Africa, Russia, Bulgaria and Australia will also display their assets.
Indian giants Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) will also rub shoulders with the best foreign companies in defence manufacturing. Pak has 'limited options' to respond to India's decision on Jammu and Kashmir: CRS report
WASHINGTON: Pakistan's leadership has "limited options" to respond to India's decision on J&K as many analysts view that Islamabad has "little credibility" on the issue given its long history of covertly supporting militant groups there, according to a US Congressional report.
The Congressional Research Service (CRS) in its second report on Kashmir in less than six months also said that Pakistan's ability to alter the status quo through military action has been reduced in recent years, meaning that Islamabad likely must rely primarily on diplomacy.
CRS is the independent research wing of the US Congress which prepares periodic reports on issues of interest for US lawmakers so that they can take informed decisions inside the Congress. Currently, two resolutions are pending in the House of Representatives, one of which is being sponsored by Indian-American Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal.
In its report dated January 13, CRS said that post August 5, Pakistan “appeared diplomatically isolated”, with Turkey being the only country to offer solid and explicit support for Islamabad's position.
Ties between India and Pakistan came under severe strain after New Delhi revoked Jammu and Kashmir's special status and bifurcated it into two Union Territories on August 5, evoking strong reactions from Islamabad.
Pakistan has been trying to rally international support against India on the issue. However, India has maintained that the move was "entirely an internal matter".
The 25-page report said that Pakistan called for a UNSC session and, with China's support, the Council met on August 16 to discuss Kashmir for the first time in more than five decades, albeit in a closed-door session that produced no formal statement.
“Many analysts view Islamabad as having little credibility on Kashmir, given its long history of covertly supporting militant groups there. Pakistan's leadership has limited options to respond to India's actions, and renewed Pakistani support for Kashmiri militancy likely would be costly internationally,” it said.
“Pakistan's ability to alter the status quo through military action has been reduced in recent years, meaning that Islamabad likely must rely primarily on diplomacy,” the CRS said.
“Given also that Pakistan and its primary ally, China, enjoy limited international credibility on human rights issues, Islamabad may stand by and hope that self-inflicted damage caused by New Delhi's own policies in Kashmir and, more recently, on citizenship laws, will harm India's reputation and perhaps undercut its recent diplomatic gains with Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” it said.
According to CRS, the long-standing US position on Kashmir is that the issue should be settled through negotiations between India and Pakistan while taking into consideration the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

This just shows how much PorkiShitani Hijada Army Dogs love the Trashmiri and even there own illegal Pakjabi Dogs living in POK. Meanwhile in India only three to five civilians died in the whole incident and also in India more Jawans achieved Veergati in protecting civilians while it’s the opposite in PorkiShitan were more civilians died protecting the PorkiShitani Hijada Army from the Avalanches.

One Soldier from 50RR and One Policemen from J&K Police SOG KIA in yesterday’s Encounter in Awantipora and Today the last terrorist who escaped from the encounter site was tracked down and later killed by 50RR, CRPF and J&K SOG. So in total three Terrorists were killed while we lost One Jawan and One Police Officer in battle.

Jaish plots ''spectacular strike'', high alert in J&K, Delhi
New Delhi 22 January (IANS) As Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) plans a ''spectacular suicide strike'' on the eve of the first Republic Day after the scrapping of special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the entire Union Territory of J&K has been put on high alert.
Last week a telephonic intercept of a JeM commander near Rajouri sector has revealed that Jaish chief Maulana Masood Azhar and his close aides were desperately plotting a ''spectacular strike'' in India, disclosed a report of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) which has been reviewed by IANS.
The IB report says that after the arrest of five JeM associates in Srinagar, it was revealed during their interrogation that the terrorists were instructed by their handlers in Pakistan to execute a series of attacks across the Valley on eve of Republic Day.
The arrested terrorists -- identified as Aijaz Ahmed Sheikh, Umar Hameed Sheikh, Imtiyaz Ahmed Chikla, Sahil Farooq Gojri and Naseer Ahmed Mir -- were in touch with a JeM commander based in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
''They (five operatives) threw two hand grenades in the Hazratbal area. But it seems it was an attempt to test water. We have inputs that the Jaish module, including Pakistani terrorists, are in the Valley and are plotting a much bigger strike. The target could be somewhere in Srinagar or even Delhi,'' said a senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir police.
The IB report further disclosed that Maulana Masood Azhar, the mastermind of the Pathankot and Pulwama terror attacks, was recently spotted at Markaz Subhanallah, the headquarters of JeM located in Bhawalpur town of Pakistan.
The Markaz is spread over 3 acres of land and hosts over 600 newly recruited cadres of JeM who are later selected for military training at terror camps located in PoJK.
Azhar, who was seriously ill early last year, was treated at an army hospital and joined the Markaz after a few months. The Pakistan government has remained silent about Masood Azhar, his location and the action taken against him on interpol notices.
Meanwhile, Union Home Secretary, heads of Central paramilitary forces, Chief of IB and concerned state agencies had an exhaustive review of the security arrangements, including the all-important Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
