India doesn’t want to talk to pak unless they stop funding jihadi groups here.

If pak does any misadventure, safe to assume they are desperate to get us to the “negotiation” table. without India, they have no other major foreign policy. even their afghan policy is closely tied into their India policy because of strategic depth and all that nonsense.

So Essentially if pak does something majorly stupid, there would only be the usual response. highly unlikely that IA will cross IB or LOC.

since India has a defensive doctrine, first move by adversaries is a good thing for Indian military establishment in a certain perspective.

Without adversary making their moves, Indian military modernisation will never get political backing to upgrade.

India making counter moves beyond IOR is highly unlikely, ASEAN countries will not let us establish our presence in their Area of Responsibility . RCEP was a good demonstration of how things will pan out, they may have their issues with China, but they won’t let us in their territory. Best to leave it to US & Japan to deal with them.

3) Diminish their will power.
