Frankly, the US, with a lack of decent leadership and any national or global vision, is descending into a "has been" power much like the UK. Median age of workers is already 42 in the US and when I look around, I just see tired and defeated citizens with no control over their destiny. Internal divisions in the US are so great that the chances of a purpose-built, mean machine to take on the CCP is slowly fading away. Not to mention how badly the US congress treats its own citizens to enrich a few billionaires. I have a feeling the US is headed for some sort of a serious revolution (as millions of people continue to be aggrieved by the election results) which in turn will lead to a disaster worse than the 1930s great depression, and the global economy will shatter, for some time.
Given how badly the Americans handled the Wuhan Virus, I am 90% certain the economic game is lost for them, with the CCP emerging as the largest pole conclusively. This has massive implications for us. We are right next to a monster with money and determination to wreak havoc. Will we rise to the challenge or become like Mexico (a vassal state to the US) as a tribute paying state to CCPstan?

People believing usa will recover from its downward spiral are wrong because usa has been makin too many strategic mistakes in many parts which guide the future prospects of the country in terms of global power projection and internal cohesion.too much unnecessary foreign wars sapped money,will and good name post cold war.also internally it has really stupid politics of not having a likin for native culture and also being an increasingly confused population with only thing being shared is the pursuit of money and gibs.i country like that won't even care about foreign wars in the future let alone have the stomach to fight it through. Only of china does something stupid like attack the mainland directly or prematurely launch invasion of neighborhood will it wake up usa.

Our goal as india was always to use and throw usa not keep it as permenant friend.it was a slow sinkin ship anyway.so don't be sad because Biden won,if trump had won too,he would have only increased the heat against the chinese a little without makin any major structural changes to usa internal cohesion on which it's decline is assured.

I don't get why people think usa was the main force against china,we are.in this battle weapons and money are not the main resource but nationalistic fervour and will.

In that terms usa is the reserve force.it only needs to create a distraction and keep harrying and skirmishing china in this comin decade.the main push would always be ours.

China's population has one undeniable advantage over the whole west including usa and that is they don't hate themselves or their own culture which is goin to be a major factor.we should also push forward our own culture internally as that is going to decide stayin power in this war.because money minded people can be easily brought over untill the rouble comes to their doorstep.

The structural weaknesses are growing in the west notwithstanding the anti chinese sentiment fuelled by trump and Covid rise .their military ethos,culture,procurement hell is only growing as I keep track of the development in weapon induction in the west especially and they have made many foolish decisions in these 'lost' few decades while our strictiral weaknesses are getting dealt with slowly across the board.

In terms of fightiness against the chinese my ranking would be :

1.india
2.japan.
3.austrailia
4.other southeast Asian states
5.usa
and then other eu states.

Based on a wholistic view.

Yes we are on top and this is based on a thorough prediction of their states in the future on basis of things other than surface level talking points like how many ships and men each sides have.

I would love to be wrong but the situation is not the worst.anyone care to differ.

Nah, you misinterpreted my statement. I meant they don't undergo proper tactical training during basic training.

Most army guys would have gone through RR.. Every infantryman and most artillerymen I know have undergone training under RR. Also, both RR and LoC come under Chinar Corps jurisdiction. So you can assume that skills will be assimilated.

There is one. Chinar Corps.

Also, there are people who undergo training in NSG and SG. There will be a few of those in each battalion. Their primary job is training other troops. At the battaion level, with all the on-the-job training the jawans do, they'll be just fine.

But, they don't have access to proper tactical equipment, hence training with modern equipment is also not there. That is a detriment. And then there is night fighting. IA is almost completely night blind, be it infantry or armoured corps. Buying a few NODs or LORROS systems isn't going to change that if no proper training is given.

Jammu and Kashmir recorded the elimination of 203 terrorists including 166 local insurgents by security forces in 2020, while 43 civilians were killed and 92 others injured in the union territory, official sources said.

The security forces have also arrested 49 terrorists and ensured surrender of nine militants during the year, they said.

This is the result of the coordinated efforts of the Army, Police and the CRPF working in the joint security grid, the officials said.

As many as 203 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir this year and of these 166 were locals and 37 were from Pakistan or of foreign origin, they said.

There have been 96 terror-related incidents in 2020. While 43 civilians were killed, 92 others suffered injuries in these incidents, they said.

The civilian casualties have come down as in 2019, 47 civilians were killed and 185 persons injured, they said.

During 2020, there was recovery of 14 IEDs as compared to 36 recovered in 2019, they said.

In 2019, 152 terrorists, including 120 locals and 32 of Pakistan-origin were killed by the security forces in J&K. In 2018, 215 terrorists were neutralized by security forces.

A total of 257 terrorists, 91 security personnel and 39 civilians were killed in 614 terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in 2018, as per the report.

In 2017, 213 terrorists, 80 security personnel and 40 civilians were killed in 342 terror incidents in the state, the report said.

In 2016, a total of 150 terrorists, 82 security personnel and 15 civilians were killed in 322 terror incidents, while in 2015, 108 terrorists, 39 security personnel and 17 civilians were killed in 208 terror incidents, it said.

A total of 110 terrorists, 47 security personnel and 28 civilians were killed in 222 terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014, the report said.

According to the sources, South Kashmir has seen the maximum number of encounters where the highest number of terrorists were eliminated. Areas like Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama which have seen instances of recruitment of local youths by terror groups have recorded maximum encounters. -- PTI
