A war with Pakistan will be playing in Pakistan's hands, Pakistan doesn't have any economy and after a war India would neither and we will be in a very bad postion and whole decade could be lost since we have China too on the eastern side. We should avoid having an economy where we can't sustain a two front war.
In my personal opinion, we have to improve our economy for 10-15 more years and heavily invest in technology which is what we are doing right now. We can threaten to destroy Chinese infrastructure in POK( in a very short time aka limited war), 100 billion dollar CPEC down the drain. This way we can pressurise China to force Pakistan to stop supporting terrorists. CPEC gives investment to Pakistan but also gives us a bargaining chip

Vietnam war, US lost it due to such tactics. They admitted that they lost there entire platoons. We cannot win a war where the locals are either being used or our soldiers are baited. Close combat tactics should be retaliated at the level of a WAR. Where are the apache gunships that we bought?

POK ki tayarri chal rahi hai, these defense acquisitions are for a full spectrum war in the next decade.

That's my hope as well. Everything India does from this point forward should be with 2 goals:

1) Take back PoJK in an initial conflict (Pak will give enough chances w/ terrorist provocation)
2) Actively pump up the Baloch & Pashtun Movements to the point where it becomes a Bangladesh '71 style situation, ripe for a final Coup de Grace from India.

India will never have peace, or realize its full potential as an economy or nation - as long as Pakistan exists in its current form.
