They did try dialogue and pressure via Afghan Taliban.
Dialogue failed as TTP demanded Sharia law in tribal areas and administration of the tribal areas be handed to them.

Pressure via Afghan Taliban also failed despite presence of some pro-Pak leaders in Afg Taliban leadership because supreme leader of Afg Taliban Haibatullah Akhundzada vetoed any measures to curb activities of TTP in Afghanistan, as he being a hardliner views any help to a non-Islamic government like Pak (by Taliban standards), against an Islamist ally like TTP, to be against Sharia principles.

Paki jernails are not fools and have a very strong sense of self preservation. They are lesser Generals and greater politicians, China cannot play them into something they don't want. They only use China as a bargaining chip with the US and to keep India at bay. They won't fight for Chongs and Khan or somebody else doesn't have the pull to send the Azeem Afwaaz to get butchered in Kashmir. Decades of Chinese friendship and not one jernail has a Pork Bao chain in China

None of the assholes in west have guts to sanction China if they even do it will be for months only bcoz if they don't it will lead to their extinction
