Pakistani newspapers carried statements by defense personnel and political commentators who said that India had to be lying through its teeth. There was firing yes, but a surgical strike? India is just making it up, they declared.
Back home, experts are not surprised. Pakistan wouldn't admit to such an operation, they say.
And here are the reasons:
- Pakistan doesn't want to escalate the matter
A report in the Hindustan Times says that by denying the strike, Pakistan is preventing any escalation in tensions.
Whenever India has carried out such reprisals it [Pakistan] has to decide whether to go public or not: the former is good for the home audience but threatens escalation, the latter is the opposite. The generals across the border have decided discretion is better than bluster this time around," the report says, suggesting that it is not in Pakistan's interest right now to escalate the matter."
So whats the truth behind that. I am not sure
The truth is pak army survives on ANTI INDIA Sentiments from its populace...and the world has called pakistan a "pathological liar". if pakistan wants to save itself from self destruction it has to stop lying that India is lying.
Looking back a few days..this is what played out through the words of Indian PM:
The political leader of India played his part well hardening the diplomatic stance India took aftermath of Uri.
Indian tactic was to get the Indian narrative straight across to the pak population and the world that ..Indian action will be against terrorists and pak administration using terrorism as a state policy and NOT the Aam Admi of Pakistan. So whatever action India does is against terrorists and NOT against pakistan for Now!!
At Mil. level getting on right with the narrative as put forward by the political class Indian Army went for surgical strikes across pak border..neutralized the terrorists and their supporters at launch pads .
Here the political narrative and military action converge. Well..it goes by the Indian slogan
"Satyameva Jayate" meaning Truth alone triumphs; not falsehood.
Now..its for pak army to react.
React pak did... by effectively starting a disconnect between pakistan political class and pak army.
pak army denied any reports of surgical strikes but pak PM not only condemned the incident but went ahead and talked about the death of pak soldiers in the incident.
paki establishment and army always survived in pakistan by seeding confusion in the minds of pakis and creating a false bravado for the pak army.
India knows this very well.. so by denying the Indian action paki army has established its lies.
India has achieved its objectives by mil. action and paki army achieved its objectives by lies and denial.
( Remember how pak lied that...Osama was NOT in pakistan while he was living in a Huge Mansion near the military compound of pak army)
If paki pushes for another war..India will use the proof which it collected at the surgical strike to convince the world nations and total pakistan.
The mil. maneuvers ..the movement of soldiers..the exercise..the mechanized army movements etc started by pakistan was to please the paki audience. and to put up a very convincing lie.
The Over confidence of pakistan is one of the cover Indian forces used for surgical strike.

Another lie by pakistan is INDIA is isolated in the region.
Now
We know how SAARC Summit got scrapped..
All NATIONS in the region stood with India, isolated pak and moved away from SAARC summit in pakistan.
NOW!!!
In a week after paki playing the music of "india isolated" has to FACE the REALITY that pak is isolated in the region and globally too.
pak can lie..as always but they have to deal with the reality...one day or another.
