A supersonic jet, capable of flying at excess of 20,000 meters (Mt. Everest is 8848 meters) at excess of the speed of sound, developing cracks when operated from high-altitude bases (~4000 meters) ?

I mean, if it had such a fundamental problem it would not even be considered air-worthy. In a normal single sortie of fighter jet it flies/cruises at an altitude of ~10,000 meters.

Russian Su-30 MKK, Su-30 MK2 and Su-35 S will be the first ones to be relied.

Than after J-11 and J-16.

J-20s in occupied Tibet is only for 'Power Projection'.

Operations from super high-altitude air bases on the Tibetan plateau would mean the J-20s will have lesser room to carry more weapons or fuel, resulting in a constrained combat range.

And PLAAF will only be deploying the Russian Su-30s and Su-35s and not their "indigenous" jets while facing the US Navy threat in the South China Sea, as same seen during Taiwan's ADIZ violations.

Actually deploying J20 in Tibet would be bad idea for reducing its life cycle. The better option would be bases in Xinjiang (Like Hotan) or Qinghai (like Golmud), they have better logistics and climates.

Powered by Y20B Tanker version it would take off from 1000m - 2000m hight airports.

Y20B has better WS20 engines than Y20A, which Russian D30 powered, it would provide more fuel to J20s.

How RAM coatings (multiple) can develop crack if the internal composite airframe is intact! Also when an aircraft flys at 30000 feet what is the temp there? its less than -40 degree C. Also temp in Beijing reaches -10 degree C during winter, forget about Harbin. There should be other issues. May be starting underpowered WS engine at high altitude.

Most Chinese still see him as hero, since he died as a PLA member anyway during the war against USA.
