With regards to A Mitra’s hubris (that is all it is) my take is as follows:

- His hubris is a social media symptom. But for SM his profile would have been insignificant.

- What he proffers is an opinion which is worthless for me.

- It’s worthless because he is not an expert.

- An expert for me is defined similar to how the law defines an expert - “ a person with specialised knowledge based in the person’s training, study or experience.” Therefore, he is not a military expert.

- The Indian Armed forces is very professional and a lot officers have serious intellectual heft. This combined with some hard core on the ground experience makes them serious experts in their field.

- That the culture of the Indian armed forces encourages humility, respect etc is often misinterpreted by charlatans like Mitra as the armed forces being incompetent.

- Hence I listen carefully to what current and former armed forces officers have to say especially if they have specific experience on the topic.

- That the charlatan chooses to dismiss the entire armed forces further shows he is no expert as a real expert would politely disagree without attacking the credibility of the entire armed forces.

- He is doing well to live up to the idiom “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing...” and further still living up TO MY idiom of being just another TWIT ON TWITTER.

Therefore, when I come across hubris like that of Mitra, even where it is delivered in a clipped Indian accept, I ignore it rather than let it bother me.

During my University days we had name for people like AIM ’trishankus’.

India lost 1962 because we never had the intent for 2nd wave attack. Any gandu analyst who can not add this fact to his analysis is worth his own ear wax.

Chinese will have advantage at the start and losing few frontiers is inevitable. But the way I read Indian posturing we have set in remedies to reduce those losses and dampens the impact. The real game will start with 2nd wave when they will run back to their coastal slums but falldown gasping on the plateau. There will be two new nations born East Turkmenistan and Bhudist Republic of Tibet.

Mitra’s thesis on supply chains, industrial complex etc supporting his nonsensical argument can be dismissed in one word:

VIETNAM.

This poor little country defeated the French, Thailand, USA and its Allies, Cambodia, Laos and mighty CHINA all within 30-40 years.

Preemption and Intent. Everything else is a second thought.

My Guess Was Right
That's not Modi's twitter account, but the twitter account of his personal campaign website.

Of course congi monkeys will screech "he can't even secure *his* twitter account, what will he secure our borders?"

The days of political unity in times of war are over. If you want India to win wars in the future, pick a party (any party), and ensure it gets a simple majority in the Lok Sabha; ignore opposition screeching for the following 5-10 years.

I have my suspicions about the SFF casualty being from a mine from 1962. If Chinese are laying mines, India should do the same.

Later it was deactivated but restored now.
