To be honest more than 80 % o twitter osints and experts are just speculating. Though I wish it was true.
There are some reputed Onsit Handles on Twitter who have their connections/Links.Most of the times they provide juicy info which govt won't release. So it's better to keep in touch with what is provided, while Double checking the fact based on your own knowledge.

Thing is the area is highly sensitive.. There are reports of Heavy Chinese deployment beyond Karakaoram. I guess Panag pointed out that Karakaoram pass is wide enough to move Artillery & mechanized infantry as well. So it's likely going to be two front attack there. So there is a mechanical brigade sitting at Qizil langar & the other one may come through Karakoram.
That means DBO is much much similar to what Akhnoor is to IA. It will be one bloody encounter.
That’s why we have mirrored deployment.....

Do the orders to defend at all costs imply the permission to use every weapon in our arsenal based on the judgement/discretion of the local commanders or are the orders limited to the exercise of non-kinetic options only?
Ab toh sirf Kinetic hoga....

:hmm: what happens now ?

Can they use drones + precision guided bombs to dislodge our troops ?

I think they been battle testing their drones in Yemen and Syria .

Its low risk , even if we shoot a drone down , wont be much of a loss for them .

Can someone knowledgeable comment on it ?
UAV/UCAVs should not be a problem for us. They are very easy to shoot down with even primitive SAMs because they don't have any countermeasures and they fly very slow.

Heck, due to high-altitude of Himalayan environment, if you position MANPADs at hilltops (like we captured yesterday, ~ 5000m AMSL), even MALE UAVs get into the range of modern MANPADS.

But as long as our air force is around, we won't require anything like that.

Another point regarding an asertion made many a times by members:
Indian army intentionally do not use captured soldiers as leverage nor we parade them to media for cheap point scoring. It is the good luck of both disgraced Pakistanis and Chinese that they have such an honourable enemy, I wish were as lucky as they are in this regard.
