probably, they are not out of mind. they are stretching us thin.
they won't cross mountains. they will take little bit of our land (at this juncture), might be few km. and for doing so, they assumed, we don't have the guts to retaliate.

just think, no country will ever threaten (with a war) India with 40/50k or 100k troops until and unless it's sure that India won't retaliate. and I'm afraid, but they are completely right in their study (till now).

now they are bringing troops and consolidating their positions. they won't attack. they will just defend their newly acquired positions. we have to attack them to oust them from there. will a mirror deployment from our side be very useful in that regard?

I'm sorry but imo till now we are playing in their terms.
You are absolutely right. When you decide to be defensive you have to protect every area. They are on the offensive and can decide where to prick us with quick troop movement. Their strategy is to tire us out. With our currently defensive posture they can have us running around in circles. What is to say that having pulled our troops into Ladakh they won’t pivot and hit us in the eastern and central sectors. Even armchair generals likens can see that our defensive posture in the current situation is insane. We should be manuvering and making them run around and increase the cost for them. In a short border war in the mountains we have the advantage.

More and more it looks like our political leadership is going to give in to the Chinese and accept the fait accompli presented by them. Our reaction till now aside from Galwan(which was due to the initiative of commanders on the ground) has been just tokenism.

Curious..
In your world view, you just jump into situations without risk analysis or take a measured approach to problem solving.

why after being reassured for decades that we are read for two fronts?
Aisa bolna to padega hi, jo mantri ko achchha lagega wohi to secretary bolega, jarnail bolega, Jhelega kaun jo front par jayega... wo bolega kaise, bolega to naukari se jaayega... ho sakta hai ki jail bhi jaana pade... aur ye baat har samay, har political boss aur har top commander ke baare me hamesha sahi rahegi...

From banning Chinese Apps to slowly kicking them out of revenue generating activity within India to adding names of our 20 gallant soldiers to a war memorial only means one thing - They have been regarded as battle casualties.

I don't know what more proof is needed with India upping the ante every day.

Modi neither forgets nor forgives betrayal.

If we had actually taken a measured approach we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

We were caught by surprise we weren't prepared as shown by our emergency procurement.

We have already jumped into a risky situation without any analysis and what you are seeing right now is the result of it.

But by that logic China is in much worse condition as they have huge airspace with hostile neighbors like Vietnam and Taiwan each of these countries have advanced airforce with modern jets
They've around 2100+ fighter aircrafts + bombers their entire Eastern sea board is covered along with a huge Naval fleet. They may face trouble around India front but they've got their slaves Pakis as some sort of insurance.

From what I understand the word dhoti shivering should be used when forum members are scared of the possibility of a war are downright asking to let go of the territory so that we don't have to find the chinese.

But I see no one here doing that not even close which makes we wonder if people even understand the meaning of this word.

What exactly do you mean by dhoti shivering?

Is being critical of the situation of the situation or questioning the govt dhoti shivering in your books.

Or do you tend to use this word just because you feel like it.
Calm down ...... Put ur hands on ur chest ( left hand side) and say #alliswell.

The small punitive action taken, was not because it was sanctioned by the govt or the army top brass but because of the initiative of the commanders on the ground in response to the death of their colleagues . If deaths had not taken place it would have been swept under the carpet. Remember there are reports of 70+ Indian soldiers that were injured in clashes in Pangon Tso before the Galway clash, a incident that was conveniently brushed under the carpet.

The punishments listed mean zilch as far as the current situation on the border goes. The latest report said who that the Chinese have dug in in positions that were their objectives and are refusing to leave. What Is the GOI going to do about those? Pretend that all is well and activate their media and Internet trolls to try and convince the public that it is so?
the details of who took action whether local commander or Modi is of significance to an internal saboteur like you not to the Chinese. I have mentioned that as one line. If you feel it was not a punitive action it is fine.

But GoI did embark on economic and diplomatic punitive actions.

But your case is to find a fault and thus you are blind to all other things.
