Also, looking more closely, the fourth picture probably has 2 Polyalthia longifolia var. angustifolia trees, aka Debdar trees. That firmly puts them in tropical zones.

The big tree in the middle could be Casuarina equestrifolia. It doesn't grow in J&K, Himachal, Arunachal, UK, Sikkim.
Very impressive sir.

Officers of CAPF( BSF , CRPF , CISF etc) are also recruited by UPSC for the posts of assistant commandent , then they get on job training and experience before getting commanding positions .
Their demand is justified , IPS officers should not given top positions in CAPF .

But it doesn't mean that IAS/IPS officers are impractical individuals who have only bookish knowledge .

IAS/IPS officers read lots of books before passing the examination but after that they get lots of practical exposure in different fields .
And naxal problem is not just an armed conflict , there are reasons for naxal problem which includes socio-economic issues and IAS/IPS officers have more exposure and experience to handle such problems .
Bhai Ji, Sipahi ki baat koi kyo nahi karta.. Usko level playing field kyo nahi milti... Kyu usko isi proportion me suvidhayen nahi milti....

There have been regular border transgressions by the PLAAF for quite sometime near the UK-Ladakh borders with Tibet. So, if a chooper/s was shot down, I won't find it unbelievable since now the restrictions on the use of lethal force along our perception of LAC have been removed. Most probably, that chopper was "tryin' a landing" behind enemy lines to aid infiltration.
