Very interesting, the chinese observers predict many skirmishes in the coming summer months and apparently the chinese "stance" has hardened from talks to hardcore ops in the summer to control land, skirmishes seem inevitable now. GoI has probably also realized this, that explains the reorganization of the army.

Even before Galwan incident, he warned of Chinese sustained actions. Galwan was such one result and Chinese not withdrawing being the other. Despite him being long retired, his assessment was the most accurate.

It’s also true that if you want to understand Chinese mind and their thinking, it’s better to read Chinese scholars articles usually written in Chinese language in their military news/forums. Not Gobar times and rubbish.

Just like India and Pakistan have two versions of history, so it the case here.

As our CAS said Never take what Chinese says at face value.

There are just two aspects of reading articles written by Chinese Scholars in their Think Tanks etc.

1. To understand their way of thinking or their version of the story.
2. To analyse their next move based on what they think.

This is exactly what MSS does. It uses Big Data, Gathers all articles written in XYZ country’s Strategic circle and analyse their next move.

While we all can rubbish those articles as mere ‘Propaganda’ meant for international audience but the fact is you don’t want to be fighting an enemy without knowing their thought process. That will be disastrous.

The word ‘Analysis’ in R&AW is meant for this very purpose.

True. You will find many rubbish as such. But for a difference read this article. It’s from 2017 but still hold true. It talks abt Chinese vulnerabilities in Tibet region vis-à-vis India.

Burma have categorically said that they will not allow anti india actions from their territory.
