During Obama they almost got G2 and IOR was part that deal given to Mao’s bastards.

Some unknown reasons it got stalled and my watching skills tell me that it was not pressures by American establishment or deep state for that matter. They were cutting their costs and wanted to outsource the security of sea trade lanes to willing state. With a proper deal they would have not objected China or anyone.

When we were getting free wheat they made Pakistan a non-NATO military alliance partner.

Whatever else may have gone strategically amiss, can’t be dissing that free wheat we received as aid. Kept substantial population from starving. We owe Dr. Norman Borlaug plenty. Not for nothing was he awarded the Padma Vibhushan and a statue of him put up at the national agricultural science complex. India also owes a little known figure, Lester Brown who foresaw a possible famine with a severe shortfall of grain in 1965 ( at an age of 31, possibly risking his career if he got it wrong) and got Lyndon Johnson to ship huge volumes of wheat (Johnson ordered that India’s food problem be treated as if the US were at war, doing whatever needed to be done). Johnson also helped India move away from price caps to a price floor(now the MSP) and it would change India forever. All this in the middle of the Vietnam quagmire.

59 mountain div has already been raised . I knew 72 division is in being raised in Pathankot but Mr Snehesh Alex Philip says that the raising of 72 nd div has been put on hold due to a paucity of funds .

Let's hope that we find the required funds and raise the second div asap along with having more independent artillery and armoured brigades.
