Indian groups need to invest more into PayTM. The app is very much needed. Due to increased chinese investment the app look and working is becoming like Alipay and Wechat with similar features of Miniapps and cashback cards.China now has a controlling majority stake in PayTM:
Ant Financials (29.71%), SAIF Partners (18.56%), and Alibaba Group (7.18%) add up to 55.45%. All three are chicom firms.
Choose wisely with your next cashless payment.
As long as company is in loss, we shouldn't be worriedChina now has a controlling majority stake in PayTM:

After UPI came into picture Paytm lost its monopoly and I feel Google pay is having a bigger share of market. However I feel Paytm has good hold among receivers end ie shopkeepers and are coming up with lots of innovative tools and ideas.China now has a controlling majority stake in PayTM:

It's not about profits. it's the data.As long as company is in loss, we shouldn't be worried
All of us have used paytm atleast once. So , they already have our data. It's not about profits. it's the data.
Data they are looking for is more dynamic in nature. example our buying pattern like items, price range and places we buy from can give them idea to manufacture or market similar products or a better marketing strategy. All of us have used paytm atleast once. So , they already have our data.
Your data isn't just your bank account number and ID. It's transactions, spending habits, what your transactions tell about you, whether you eat a certain way, travel to certain places, are susceptible to fall sick a certain way; and whether that info can be sold to insurance companies to raise your premiums, or to banks to reduce your loan eligibility, or your future employers who secretly prefer people of only a certain ideology. All of us have used paytm atleast once. Thanks for the headsup, have been using paytm thinking its Indian controlled.China now has a controlling majority stake in PayTM:

Before the Chiense do it
What is the alternative for Indian companies though, Investment is required to generate jobs so we have to look at the economic impacts too. A line needs to be drawn between caution and irrational behavior. I don't see harm in Chinese money. Chinkis themselves built their economy on foreign money, mainly their biggest rival. What we need to do is put in checks and balances against data leaving the country. That Chinese investors cant take out their money out of India.Your data isn't just your bank account number and ID. Data is the new oil. Do not give a single byte to the fucking chinese.
But it was (((controlled))) back there, those who took phoren money still had the leash of CCP firmly on them. What is the alternative for Indian companies though, Investment is required to generate jobs so we have to look at the economic impacts too.
