See below.

I had the same doubt/suspicion. One way to check is, click on Google Earth historic images for the Hot Spring area, go to the year 2018 image. You will see our road which takes a loop at the near-end of LAC, used for patrolling at hot spring area.

Since we have created a road and it looks paved enough that it looks to be used occasionally for patrolling, the LAC must be somewhere in front of it, right?

Now, look at the positions of Chinese tents at Hot Spring.
Can you post the 2018 pic, with reference LAC and the road.. could not find the pic..

@Abdus Salem killed have a look at F4-F5 map here https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=14/33.7639/78.7583

Did China had a road there before May 2020 there? No, it was updated according to newer construction.

Recently latest high-resolution satellite images of the Gogra-Hotspring area have been made available on Google Earth.

1) Hot Spring Area :-

According to the latest imagery (11th Feb 2021), we have lost land to China.

China seemed to have previously crossed with a significant amount of forces and equipment, as the tent marks and clearly visible. Still today, their camp seems to contain around 12 tents and remains unchallenged by us.

A closer look at the same area, Chinese tent marks are visible along with the Chinese camp.

A little inside the Chinese side, they have reinforced with a massive amount of troops and equipment, including artillery and tanks.

2) North of Hot Spring (unnamed area) - coordinate is 34deg. 32min. 23.53sec N 78deg. 38min. 11.57sec E.

China intruded around 2 km inside LAC, starting from Mid-May. But for some unknown reason, pulled-back within LAC limits starting July, and completely went behind LAC by the last week of July.

What is baffling is, we have absolutely no presence in that area apart from a mud road, (even now) as if Army couldn't care less.

3) General Area Gogra

Perhaps this all might have made sense if we were at least trying to oppose or confront China by aggressive deployment, but the exact opposite is happening. By January, we started to pull back troops from the Gogra-Hotspring area, which was not mirrored my China.

Now currently, our combined total strength in the Gogra-Hotspring area remains shy of 300, that too may be an overestimation, versus more than 2000+ strength of China in that area.

Some excerpts from IE report which @mist_consecutive will find helpful....

Both sides have agreed to continue with talks, which can happen at “various levels”, they said. “Some forward movement” in discussions on friction points at Hot Springs and Gogra Post can be expected first before any move on the more contentious Depsang Plains, they said.

Referring to the latest talks on the Chinese side of the Moldo-Chushul meeting point in Ladakh, sources said: “All contentious issues, including Hot Springs, Gogra, Depsang Plains and Demchok, were discussed. Proposals have been exchanged and a way forward will be decided after each country discusses the proposals at their end. We may see a quicker result on Gogra and Hot Springs as disengagement at these friction points had begun in July last year itself but remained partial. The success of Pangong Tso disengagement has given us hopes of resolving the unfinished business at Gogra and Hot Springs,” said an official.

In Hot Springs and Gogra Post areas, Chinese and Indian troops are still in a faceoff, nine months after the military standoff began in May 2020. Disengagement of troops in these two areas was attempted last July but Chinese reluctance to complete the process led to a stalemate.

Mods please finally tell what's going on, have we lost land to them and by how much area
We have'nt lost anything , talks are ongoing with regard to other "friction points" , including this one.

we have'nt taken any action like in pangong tso because we are confident talks will solve situation.

they will remove everything and go back , area will be patrolled by both sides.

I know of at least 1 place in arunachal pradesh where we have cross our "official border"

- meaning we have entered chinese land and setup a outpost . so yea both sides do it .

i am only interested because its a good find . havent seen it reported anywhere else.
